Pratt/Whitney 2037 Engine Run Course

Classroom (2 hrs.)

***During this portion of the course, it is important for instructors to assess the experience levels and training backgrounds

the students so as to determine the extent and depth of engine material to be covered in class.*** 

The classroom portion of this course will be an introduction/overview of the PW !"# engine including the following$

1) General engine information an !re"autionsEngine cowls and access panels.--Include slat clearance precautions.--Start valve override, oil servicing and other access panels.Major component location/information.Engine cockpit indications overview.--Tpe and location of displas.--!arameter limits for start and ops.

2) Pre#run$ %ir"raft set u! follo&ing 'elta Pre#light hanoo* !ro"eures. "ll pertinent information with regards to preparation for engine run including jet tug positioning, chockingof aircraft, nose gear preparation, clearing area, securing of panels, fire e#uipment positioning,esta$lishing communications with ground personnel and verification that all other !re-%light &and$ookprocedures/precautions have $een complied with.

3) Pre#run$ +ther "onsierations !er 'elta !ro"eures.Start/operation of "!' for engine start.
