On April 9, a new member joined Delta group! The leading Norwegian power supply design and sales company-Eltek was incorporated into Delta, further strengthening our global scope and strategy. In the future, Delta telecom power supply business will feature dual brands in the market, complementing each other and optimizing effectiveness. From the beginning of this year, Brand Management Office started to plan CI integration between Delta and Eltek. In the second week after the merger, I went to Norway and communicated with Eltek marketing team face-to-face on various application designs. They gave me warm recognition and active response. Within a month, most of the adjustments were completed, reflecting the high efficiency in our cooperation. This is the first step of a successful integration.

In the previous issue of Brand News Bi-Monthly, we introduced "DeltaMOOCx", the open online platform by Delta, and how it successfully flipped classroom teaching pattern. Recently, we applied this concept to Delta booth design in "Computex". A smart campus exhibition scene integrates Delta's products and solutions in digital learning, campus energy conservation, and monitoring management. A newly launched Vivitek Qumi Q6 personal and pocket projector presented features of DeltaMOOCx using Projection Mapping. Do you want to know the new trend in Computex this year? Please do not miss the "Special Report".

Projection display is one highlight of Delta booth in Computex. In the past, the projector business of DSBU focused on the ODM model. In recent years, it gradually developed brand business and participated in several large projection exhibitions, greatly promoting the popularity of the brand. The "Brand People" interviewed Mr. Jeff Fu, who shared his experiences in brand operation and his success in creating iPEMS Intelligent Monitoring and Management System.

The "Global Views Monthly CSR Award" presentation at the end of April was one of the most moving and proudest occasions for Delta people. For three years in a row, we won double first prizes for the categories of "science, technology and production group" and "education promotion group". On the same day, the organizer also arranged a special surprise for Delta's founder Mr. Bruce Cheng. Global Views Monthly granted "CSR Lifetime Contribution Award" to Mr. Cheng for his long-time dedication to energy and climate changes, and for his leadership in implementing Delta CSR. I was very honored to witness this historic moment and deeply appreciate Mr. Cheng's efforts in promoting environmental protection. He is the best "brand spokesman" for Delta. CSR shapes up uniqueness for the Delta brand and adds extra value. The "Brand Academy" shares this glory and joy with you.

Computex Taipei 2015 offers a glimpse of future technology

< Text by Brand Management Office >

The 35th Computex Taipei, a high-profile trade show for the consumer electronics industry, will take place from June 2nd to 6th with more than 1,700 participating companies. Coming chiefly from the U.S., Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands and China, the exhibitors will unfurl under one roof the blueprints for a technology-driven lifestyle that will dominate the next few years.

Conveying unique brand values and spirit at an integrated trade show This year marks Delta's fourth consecutive appearance at the Computex show. Once again, the company seeks to communicate its brand spirit to the public as a highly capable product and solution provider. Delta has highlighted various themes at its Computex booth: the smart tree house theme in 2012 gave a conceptual testimonial not only to the interdependence and coexistence of man and nature but also to Delta's commitment to environmental protection and its brand message "Smarter. Greener. Together". Delta's 2013 theme of the Sunshine Elementary School illustrated the net zero-carbon, energy-saving

qualities green buildings. And Delta's Smart Green House theme in 2014 simulated a lifestyle that is innovative, clean, energy-efficient and intelligent.

Smart Campus, the flipped classroom Ever wonder what a "flipped classroom" is like? Visit the Delta booth at Computex and you will see educational applications embedded in a physical classroom or lab setting alongside smart, low-carbon solutions achieved through the company's "Smart Campus" corporate-school partnerships. What sets Smart Campus apart from similar initiatives is that it helps schools manage energy use by tackling three key issues: energy consumption control, digital learning and energy efficiency education. It integrates Delta's Intelligent Monitoring Management System (iPEMS), Building Energy Management System (BEMS) and green data center into an eco-friendly learning space. The cloud management platform is complete with interactive software/hardware and energy efficiency teaching materials and enhances campuses with smart features as well as reduces their carbon footprint.

Delta has built its 2015 booth layout around "Smart Campus" to further spread the ideas of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Tremendously inspired by his many teachers throughout his studies, and impressed with the global impact of MOOCs, Delta's founder Bruce Cheng introduced DeltaMOOCx as a free platform that gives a wider body of learners access to competent instructors. The platform narrows the gap between urban and rural areas with improved availability of education resources. To address the glaring mismatch between graduate skills and industry needs, Delta also combines vocational MOOCs with the basic scientific concepts required for a competitive Taiwanese workforce.

Qumi Q6 wireless projector stimulates the brain and dazzles the eyes To augment MOOCs' efficiency for disseminating information and open-source knowledge, the DeltaMOOCx Zone at Computex is going to offer, through creative projection mapping, an intellectual and visual tour de force with Qumi Q6, a portable wireless LED projector recently launched under Delta's projector brand Vivitek.

Qumi Q6 is the centerpiece of Delta's exhibit this year and it is also Vivitek's flagship product in the projector segment of the consumer electronics market. Not only does this ultra-bright, 800-lumen HD projector have Miracast wireless display protocol compliance, it also boasts a chic compactness characteristic of the entire Qumi series. Visitors to the Delta booth can try Qumi Q6, which allows for wireless, unencumbered sharing of multimedia content between mobile devices.

pecial Report Delta's award-winning ventilation fans show strong potential Also on display at Computex will be the complete range of personal power management devices from Innergie, another consumer electronics brand of the Delta Group. The Innergie products include an ultra-compact, card-sized universal charger with built-in USB port that powers up a laptop and other devices simultaneously and quickly; the popular LifeHub, a USB power hub with an extended 4.5-meter charger cable that makes far-away power outlets a non-issue; and the wildly popular lipstick-sized PocketCell, available in five vibrant colors, that insures your mobile life will be uninterrupted.

Delta's DC ventilation fans, a Taiwan Excellence Award winner for two years in a row, is worth a look as its brushless DC motor configuration cuts electricity consumption by 50%. Visitors can closely examine this ventilation unit, elaborately displayed in Delta's booth, and how it delivers fresh air with hardly any noise.

Envisioning a smarter world with the Internet of Things With smartphone accessibility and internet infrastructure expanding rapidly, our world is embracing the Internet of Things, or IoT. Aspiring market-leaders are forced to abandon their one-dimensional thinking for product manufacturing and take on new roles, notably application and service innovators that merge hardware and software into one. Inspired by how Apple Watch shook up the global market in the first quarter this year, a new section of Computex Taipei 2015 will be dedicated to wearable technologies-eyewear, watches, clothing and e-paper for tech togs-from Taiwan and beyond.

Smart home and city technologies will be another highlight of the trade show. Google is making a foray into the home automation market after acquiring thermostat maker Nest. It will demonstrate some intelligent products and applications related to smart home solutions in the "Meet the Future" pavilion. As the urban population density rises, nurturing sustainable smart cities has been a priority of governments worldwide.

From smartphones, wearables, to smart homes and cities, mobile device developers have shifted their emphasis from individual users to cloud-based services (data storage, computing and control, data center networks, and information management, to name a few) and big data analysis/utilization that are crucial to intelligent living. Integration of such devices provides increasing efficiency while reducing waste.

All are welcome to drop by Delta's booth on the 4th floor of the Nangang Exhibition Hall for insight into how the DeltaMOOCx works, how the company's products and solutions stay on top of the game in the IoT age, and how we are all going to live and learn in the context of universal interconnectivity!

An advanced PV inverter from Delta was recently successfully applied to a 5MW fishery-photovoltaic electric generating system in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, becoming the first outdoor central PV inverter in China that successfully connects to grid and generates electricity and turning fishpond into photovoltaic power generating base. The so-called fishery-photovoltaic complementation means that fish farming is done in the water with generation of electricity done above the water. In this way, fishpond becomes a base for generation of photovoltaic power, which optimizes efficiency of the land and increases output value of the unit land area with the two functions. This project covers an area of 110,000 m2, with estimated 5 million kWh of capacity annually. While bringing tremendous economic returns for clients, it also saves about 2,000 tons of standard coal every year, and reduces 5,300 tons in CO2

emission, 49 tons of SO2 and 14 tons of nitride, compared to thermal power generation. It is indeed a green energy project.

eople Strengthen professional skills and focus on the users' experienceAn interview with Mr. Jeff Fu, General Manager of DSBU

During Computex at the beginning of June, a new generation of the Vivitek Qumi Q6 Personal and Pocket Projector will be officially launched at the Delta booth. In the past, DSBU's projector business operations were mainly focused on ODM. In recent years, DSBU has been developing brands and has participated in several big events. In this issue's "Brand People", we have an interview with DSBU General Manager Mr. Jeff Fu, who shares his experiences with us.

< Text by Brand Management Office >

• DSBU General Manager Jeff Fu

In the mid-1990s, Delta started to develop color monitors. Based on advanced technology, the business gradually evolved to high quality, high brightness video system supply in response to the rapid growth of the video industry. In recent years, Delta projection technology has been successfully exhibited at several big events, which has gradually raised awareness of the brand. When speaking of developing a "brand", Jeff Fu, General Manager of DSBU, appeared very modest.

"Branding is harder than I thought," Fu smiled and said to the interview team. "In the past, Delta engaged in ODM and OEM in accordance with the technology-focused company culture set up by founder Mr. Cheng. ODM has 5 important parameters: Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Delivery, and Cost (TQRDC). Only with improvements in product strength will customers favor products and brand value increase. Especially in current times with more information available and fierce competition, establishing a brand requires a lot of time, and it's not easy to do."

From ODM to Branding, channel management is the most important. For over a decade DSBU has managed Delta's biggest B2C brand, Vivitek. Clients are mostly from commercial markets such as companies related to education. To date the business has reached $100 million, but Fu is hoping for even better achievements. The key lies in channel management.

eople "In the past, our channel management was in charge of a regional sole distributor, whose major role was to serve as a bridge between Delta and terminal customers. I gradually realized that good branding must be based on an in-depth understanding of the local market," said Fu resolutely. "Vivitek is mainly sold to China, America and Europe. At present, the DSBU team handles those markets ourselves. By getting to know the demands of customers and closely cooperating with channel distributors, we are beginning to see some good results. As industry becomes more diversified, the channel should keep pace. Good products with good channels foster a good brand."

At the beginning of 2014, Vivitek attended the American CES Exhibition, officially launching the lock-up "a brand of Delta" on the logo, which showed Delta's broad R&D strength and endorsement of Vivitek. Fu felt deeply that, "with an effective brand connection and investment in resources, distributors would be more willing and confident working with Delta."

Strengthen core technology and focus on the user experienceWith more experience in branding, does Fu have a role model in his heart?

"I think the success of Apple is worth learning from. Apple broke through the Wintel Alliance with strong technology, which matches Delta's core value. In addition, Apple's attention to the User Experience is also the key for a projector brand to succeed."

Fu described the American market by sharing his experience marching the Qumi product into the large 3C retailer Best Buy two years ago. At present, Best Buy only sells two projector brands, Vivitek and Epson. Vivitek Q6 is favored by customers because of its small size, portability, and wide applications. It has become a valued commodity for Best Buy.

Exclusive ID team, the core of Delta product designHaving the best R&D team is not enough. The Industrial Design Team of the DSBU also shoulders a large share of the responsibility.

The ID team of DSBU has eight designers and it is the strongest ID team in Delta. During the initial stage of product development, the ID team, R&D engineers and PM/Sales carried out close communication and discussions on product positioning, sales regions, product cycles, costs, processes, competitors, and more. Only after clarifying these topics could a design meet market requirements and be competitive.

Besides the related design work of DSBU and Vivitek, the ID team also offers trans-department assistance to product designs for Innergie, ESSBD, TPSBU and ECBD, covering products such as display devices, portable chargers, charging stations, telecom products, and others, which are all important assets for Delta. Recently, the ID team of the DSBU designed a highly efficient and secure telecom power supply for TPSBU, and it won the Reddot Award.

• Delta's iPEMS was first launched at the 2012 CIIF Expo where it became a focus of the show

Building iPEMS system from a customer perspective With two decades at Delta, Fu started from the business of telecom power systems. Three years of this experience paved his way to management.

"I learned to think from the perspective of customers," Fu said, sharing his growth at Delta. "In the past, I often sold telecom power supply products in remote areas. I always wanted to develop a remote management system, which would enable customer access to better services. The original goal was to promote an iPEMS intelligent monitoring and management system at DSBU."

His past customer experience enabled Fu to successfully develop the iPEMS business model. The system can support the data collection, analysis and display of over 10 million monitoring points. It is a very successful and important video solution for Delta. Recently, Delta's iPEMS system built an integrated operation and command center for an oilfield in Xinjiang. It was praised by the client because for its visualization of the information management system. iPEMS became the focus of recent international industrial exhibitions attended by Delta. It was voted as the most recommended exhibit at the 2012 CIIF Expo.

"Technology is the DNA of the DSBU," Fu stressed again. "Only with this core technology can the Delta projection program be distinguished. I hope the branding of DSBU will continue to be based on three aspects: 1. deep research in optical technology and enhanced professional skills; 2. strengthened display management software; and 3. developing new material applications and expanding the technology platform. These are my expectations concerning my team and our short term goals."

Fu hopes to share his experience with DSBU colleagues, grow with them together, and continue to attain even greater achievements.

y What is a corporate social responsibility? The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) once invited 60 business and non-business groups to define CSR, that is, a company promises to continually abide by social morality, contribute to economic development and improve the living standard for employees, their families, local communities and even society. In short, a company has to be responsible for all stakeholders during its operation. CSR is the non-financial performance of a company.

Generally, 3 aspects are taken into consideration to assess a company's CSR: economic, environmental and social aspects. The economic aspect involves the company's economic impact on stakeholders, and local, national and global economic systems, in addition to company's corporate governance and brand image, etc. The environmental aspects includes the company's impact on nature, including land, air, water and ecological systems, and assesses the consumption of raw materials, the source and use of energy, water, carbon emission, waste water and garbage treatment, biodiversity, transport, etc. The social aspect mainly focuses on the impact on the local social system, labor practice, human rights, social issues (such as anti-corruption, anti-competition) and product responsibility.

Of course, when practicing social responsibility, every company has its own focus and features according to its nature.

Why does a company's CSR relate to its brand? For a long time in the past, devotion to social responsibility was seen as a defensive strategy, the purpose of which was to prevent mistakes or to reduce government penalties or the impact of social opinion regarding mistakes. However, as a company's values and brand experience gradually becomes the essence of the brand, more and more companies actively engage in CSR, creating social values and, more importantly, the hope is to make consumers acknowledge the companies' core values, while enhancing brand loyalty.

However, it is not an easy thing to invest in social responsibility for a long time. The key for sustainable implementation is to combine the company's operation strategy with social responsibility work, which might transform CSR into business opportunities. To take GE as an example, by encouraging internal green tech innovation, "Ecomagination" action, a large investment is put into green energy and environmental related technologies. Besides increasing revenue, it also enhances brand assets. According to estimation of Interbrand, Ecomagination action promoted a 25% growth of GE brand value.

The performance of Delta CSRThe uniqueness of the Delta brand comes from its insistence on and implementation of its mission of "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow." Ever since it was established in 1971, its business development always conforms to the principle. With its core technologies of power electronics, Delta is committed to providing high-efficient solutions. Between 2010 and 2014, Delta reduced the electricity of 14.8 billion kWh for customers by using highly-efficient and energy saving products and solutions. The savings equal 7.9 million metric tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to the carbon emissions of 2.6 million cars a year; in terms of energy

savings in manufacturing, electricity intensity in 2014 was reduced by 50% compared with 2009, which means half of the electricity is needed to produce the same amount of products. Delta is also a pioneer of green buildings in Taiwan. Besides developing energy saving solutions for buildings, Delta possesses 7 certified green office buildings in the world and has donated 5 green buildings.

Last summer, Delta carried out the "Run for Water, Water for Run" water and environment education exhibition at Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Delta Electronics Foundation planned this exhibition according to a UN climate change research and the study of the El Nino phenomenon. It also applied Delta's projection technology with art designs, trying to arouse global attention to the impact of global warming on water resources and helping people understand the global and Taiwan water resources crisis. It took the lead in the anti-drought alarm call and appealed for national water saving in advance of the severe drought happened in Taiwan this year. During the 26-day exhibition, 37,000 visitors were attracted and many reports were written.

Delta has been devoted to CSR for a long time and actively uses its external influence, with results recognized at home and abroad. In recent years, it publicized Delta's value of environmental protection and energy saving through exhibitions and video, and transformed obscure environment researches into the easily understandable messages. By combining Delta's products and technology, it gradually promotes the recognition and loyalty of mass to Delta brand.

Analysis of the global ultracapacitor market: Manufacturers exploring new verticals to drive growthThe total ultracapacitor market witnessed unexpected slow growth in 2013. Frost & Sullivan revised its GAGR forecast from 20.1%(2012~2019) to 12.2% (2013~2020) in the 2015 report. The reasons of this revise are market participants have experienced several difficulties in penetrating markets such as hybrid and heavy vehicles, which were expected to witness high growth. Moreover, the renewable energy applications market such as wind has been witnessing low growth. Last but not least, lack of volumes combined with higher than expected pricing structures continue to limit end user uptake of ultracapacitors.

In 2013, the ultracapacitor revenue break-downs in different segmentation are 38.5% for Transportation, 31.5% for Consumer Electronics, and 30.0% for Industrial. The Consumer Electronics segment being commoditized, will offer small margins and the highest growth rate in the future for participants. The revenue will witness a CAGR of 14.2% from 2013 to 2020, while the units will experience a CAGR of 29.4%. Prices are expected to decline by 11.8% in this segment.

Analysis of the North American data center cooling marketFrost & Sullivan's research indicated that the North American data center cooling market will experience a 10.4% of CAGR during the forecast period of 2013~2018. This growth is higher than historic development due to the explosion in data volume and complexity. The market size in 2012 was US$1,089.1 million, and is expected to grow to US$1,975 million in 2018.

Increasing server density and retrofits for legacy data centers provide a large opportunity for updating of active cooling systems and powerful cooling solutions. Computer Room Air Conditioners/Handlers(CRAC/CRAH) units are used in over 75.0% of the data center market today and occupied 78.9% of sales revenue in 2012. This is the technology that is most commonly deployed in data centers of all sizes, and it is the solution the majority of data center operators are most comfortable deploying. It has been the dominant cooling technology for the entire history of the data center industry.

Cool vendors in smart machines, 2015Smart machines are transforming everyday technology and disrupting how to think about business opportunities this decade. Smart-machine technologies will significantly impact virtually every industry sector over the next five years as systems acquire the ability to observe their environment, train themselves and learn from their mistakes, converse with people and each other, enhance human cognitive capabilities, replace workers involved in routine tasks.

Gartner explore sample cool vendors for 2015, and share why they cool. Skycath is one of the cool smart machine vendor identified by Gartner.

Skycatch is a drone-meets- industr ial-big-data star tup that provides commercial unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) for autonomous aerial data capture at work sites. The data it captures can then be visualized and analyzed by workers on the ground via Skycatch's proprietary user interface and data analysis tools. Recently, Skycatch has tied up with construction equipment maker Komatsu to develop and deliver automated guidance and operation of driverless vehicles on the ground(such as earthmovers), to reduce the time to perform measurement activities, enable cost savings and improve safety at construction sites.

Analysis of the global non-renewable inverter market: Growth in Asia-Pacific propels the marketThe global non-renewable inverter market revenue with the CAGR 4.0% will reach the US$ 2,014.5 million in 2014 and US$ 2,777.1 million in 2021 forecasted by Frost & Sullivan. APAC is showing the most promising growth throughout the forecast period and accounts for 42.4% of market revenue(2014).

The lack of power reliability is driving the growth of non-renewable inverters in APAC . The need for backup power and higher power reliability arises primarily from the telecommunications vertical as well as from the residential and commercial verticals in the region.

The market is also looking positive for North America and Europe based on increased demand for the latest wireless infrastructure(4G). The telecommunications segment continues to be a prime revenue driver in the non-renewable inverter market.

• Using reusable shopping bags is not only fashionable but also environmental friendly

< Text by TJ Chiu/ Delta Electronic Foundation >

Recently, a discounter has been concentrating its marketing efforts on the thrifty young gerneration without high income, and tries to foster a fashion of being thrifty. In the advertisement, these young women and men all have different reasons to be thrifty, but they all carry a plastic shopping bag with the supermarket's LOGO on it, which makes me, who engage in environmental protection works, feel uneasy.

As far as the advertisement effect is concerned, in order to prevent mixing up with other supermarket brands in such a short media exposure time, the supermarket's blue and red plastic bag with the LOGO serves as the main identifier in the picture. It is already known to most people that in Taiwan, plastic bags are not free in shops. Thinking from the perspective of thrift on paying for plastic bags, they could be repeatedly used to extend their life. However, if we think about their harm on human health and natural environment, it is far more than 1 or 2 dollars could make up for. Besides, why spend 2 dollars if you could save 2 dollars?

Anyway, so I did a little survey on young people's impression on the advertisement, in order to prove that it is not me alone who feel uncomfortable with this advertisement. Here is the conclusion I got, which nailed it, "it is vulgar and not fashionable at all to use plastic bags." It seems that the advertisement, which intends to attract the young generation with fashion, betrays its intention in details. The point is, it is "not good-looking" for young people to use plastic bags, rather than the "unenvironmentally friendly" that I thought.

Back to reality, advertising exposure is still the main media for mainstream society. There are indeed a lot of people being influenced by ad and developed loyalty to some brands and therefore decided to purchase the products. So, ads do decide or lead how people live. When they make good use of eco-friendly words, they may become a force to improve our surrounding environment, and vice verse. Today, if the plastic bag advertisement of a brand is inconducive to the cultivation of environmental protection habits, then what kinds of method could convey appeal and promote the environmental protection behaviors?

At last, this is how I would like to imagine it. Maybe the ad marketers would see this article and soon after, the content of that ad would change this way: the thrifty young woman/man forgot to bring a reusable bag when checking out, so the cashier takes out one from under the counter to lend the young woman/man and reminds her/him "to really save money, have your own reusable shopping bag".

Bring a reusable shopping bag with you to save money

Built in 1937, the History Hall at Taichung First Senior High School was originally under the name of "First High School Lecture Hall" and was the first large-span building strengthened to withstand earthquakes after the earthquake in Mt. Guandao. It was designated as a historical building by Taichung City Government in 2004. However, after years of non-maintenance, the building suffered from serious leaking on its roofs and wearing on its walls, making it used less frequently in recent years.

Also an alumnus of the school, founder of Delta Electronics Mr. Bruce Cheng has a deep appreciation for the influence the school has on his life. Under solicitation by the school, he invited the internationally-renowned J.J.Pan and Partners Architects and Planners in 2012 to participate in design and repair of the building. After three years of planning and construction work with a spending nearly 70 million NT Dollars, formal inauguration for the building took place on May 1, 2015, the hundredth anniversary for the school.

During the repair, the building underwent repeated studies and inspections on its walls, lime paints, and window frames, as it was listed as a historical building governed by Cultural Heritage Preservation Act to be "restored to its previous old-time state". Meanwhile, the building incorporated designs for energy-saving green buildings with improved ventilation and lighting. Through Delta's renewable-energy electric generation system, power is supplied on its own, making it the first historical building in Taiwan with "negative amount of carbon emission".

In particular, the cost for maintaining this building in the future will come from money gained from the electricity generated from the newly-installed solar panel. The 16,000 degree of electricity generated by the panel surpassed that needed by the building itself, making this historical building the first one in Taiwan with "negative amount of carbon emission". With donation from Mr. Cheng to incorporate technology with humanity and culture, the hall served as the most meaningful gift on the hundredth anniversary for the school.

• "Run for Water, Water for Run" Exhibition has the first floor showroom in Delta's Sunshine Building as the final stop of its exhibition tour

< Text by DEF >

The "Run for Water, Water for Run" Exhibition planned and coordinated by Delta Electronics Foundation attracted more than 60 thousand visitors in 68 days of its exhibition in Songshan Cultural Park and old Air Force Headquarter. This exhibition received 2015 Award for Corporate Social Responsibility granted by Global Views Monthly. The foundation hopes to share this honor with Delta colleagues by moving the exhibition to the first floor showroom in Sunshine Building in Neihu for opening on June 5th, the World Environment Day.

Since 2007, Delta Electronics Foundation has been dispatching representatives to attend United Nation Climate Change Conference to learn about various issues Taiwan will face under global warming. Among these issues, water resource is closely related to our daily living. Therefore, during the planning for this exhibition, the foundation started from the global perspective with care for local matters to educate the visitors on how to make changes by starting from ourselves, given the fact that we live in a country ranked 18th globally in shortage of water resources.

In planning for this exhibition, the name of "Run for Water, Water for Run" entails two concepts. The first is the "water footprint" based on scientific data and is the water we get to directly or indirectly use during the processes of production and consuming. It reflects how much our living consumes and relies on water resources. The other concept is how people "settle by water". It recounts how water has nurtured human life and many stories where people are impoverished because of lack of water.

The showroom features four exhibition areas including scenery of water and landscape for ancient civilizations, sounds of water in Taiwan, figuring out your water footprint, and cases from daily living. Through interactive projections, the exhibition presents various topics related to water resources. By cooperating with internationally well-known non-governmental organizations, the exhibition also presents how neighbor nations work to preserve water. In addition, the exhibition area with cases from daily living will feature a sharing by Wim, a renowned water-saving expert from Delta Electronics Foundation, on how to save water at home. Everybody is welcome to visit and take valuable tips home. Starting June 5th, the exhibition is open to public every Wednesday from 2:00~5:00 in the afternoon. Other exhibition time is available to Delta colleagues upon reservation. For details, please visit Delta Foundation website: http://www.delta-foundation.org.tw/.
