CHS understands that today’s lubricants business is multi-faceted and constantly evolving, with numerous offerings and challenging formulations to master. The key to understanding lubricants lies in both ingredient and applications knowledge. Through robust online training via cenexrefinedthinking.com and in-person opportunities, CHS arms dealers with the industry, technical and product-specific knowledge needed for success.
By the end of 2017, CHS Lubricants aims to provide six official training courses – five online, one in-person – to engage and educate dealers who seek to become the Cenex® product professional customers turn to for expertise.

• Fundamentals of Lubricants 101: This online course empowers suppliers with basic lubricant formulation knowledge and crucial industry concepts. This subject covers core understandings of base oils, additives, and why both are necessary in creating premium lubricants. In addition, important industry terms, like friction and viscosity, are taught. These basics allow dealers to understand why one lubricant is different from another.
• Advanced Fundamentals of Lubricants 201: Through covering specific types of lubricants, this training takes a deeper dive into the technology of different lubricant categories, building on the concepts of 101 training. For example, why does a hydraulic oil not work for engines? In the 201 course, precise application information is discussed in greater depth. Upon completion of Lubricants 201, users will understand why lubricants are complex and what makes each product category different.
• Cenex Total Protection Plan® Warranty & LubeScan® Analysis: This course outlines key features and processes related to the Cenex Total Protection Plan (TPP) Warranty and LubeScan Oil Analysis programs. Both of these offerings present opportunities for customers to build upon the peace of mind Cenex lubricants deliver. Learn why Cenex has a warranty program, why customers should enroll, and how to lead producers through enrollment. Plus, gain an understanding of LubeScan Oil Analysis, and how the process can save customers in downtime and maintenance costs by discovering potential equipment problems.

PROGRAMS OVERVIEW
CHS appreciates the opportunities and challenges of doing business in today’s ever-changing energy industry. From seasonal markets to changing oil prices, to a sharpening focus on daily economics, a dealer must remain committed to balance sales growth and competitive pricing while upholding Cenex® product integrity and top-notch customer service. It’s no easy task.
The following incentive programs offer a variety of tools to assist our dealers in securing and maintaining loyal Cenex lubricant and grease customers.
CHS offers:
• Credits to fleet managers for volumes purchased, or cost-share reimbursements to local producers to offset equipment costs
• The Cenex Total Protection Plan® as a no-risk, no-deductible warranty to secure and protect key agriculture customers, while building incremental sales
• Programs that allow sales teams to go further with untapped prospect pools in local municipalities or in-town fleets, knowing that these accounts often require a sharper pencil and competitive edge in capturing their new business
Your CHS district manager is the connection you need to access additional Cenex dealer programs designed to address the unique sales opportunities available in the rural government and commercial sectors. By working with your Cenex representative and the CHS Lubricants marketing team, dealer sales teams are able to gain access to customized plans for making inroads into government organizations and commercial businesses – businesses looking for superior quality Cenex products to optimize their business efficiencies and reduce downtime.

Eligible Cenex® salespeople will be rewarded for Cenex Total Protection Plan® Warranty sales during fiscal year 2017 as measured by the following criteria:
• $50 for a new or used warranty sold to a customer NEW to Cenex Lubricants
• $25 for a new or used warranty sold to a current customer using Cenex Lubricants
Non-CHS employees will receive Visa® gift cards, totaling earned incentives, on a quarterly basis. CHS employees will receive a quarterly direct deposit through CHS Inc. Payroll in the total amount of earned incentives, less taxes. Incentives should be fulfilled within 30 business days following the end of the quarter.
All incentives are cumulative, over the course of each fiscal year. In addition to the base incentive for each warranty sold, the program provides bonus incentives after reaching certain sales levels. Membership entry into the Cenex Total Protection Plan Club Level requires a minimum of 15 warranties sold.

4. Create an email. The subject line must use this naming convention: "DealerName.RequestedCreditAmount.mm.dd.yyyy" (Refer to example below). Each new submission must have a new, unique name in the email subject line.
Example Subject Line: "CenexDealer1.$550.06.01.2015"
5. Attach and email the completed form with supporting documents to [email protected]. Be sure to copy your district manager on the submission email.
6. Forms containing mixed credit programs or special pricing terms will be rejected.
Terms
Dealers earn $0.50 per gallon credit for the sales of 750 or more gallons of Cenex Lubricants to qualifying end-users. Credits are based on the amount of eligible gallons ordered by the end-user.
Grease is converted to gallons at a rate of 7.5 pounds to 1 gallon (i.e. 750 pounds grease/ 7.5 = 100 gallons).

Objective
Assist dealers in securing sales to large commercial end-users, i.e. fleet trucking/transportation, industrial and construction accounts.
Dealer’s Target Audience
Commercial end-users who purchase a minimum of 750 gallons of qualifying product.
Qualifying Product
Volume credits are available on all sales of Cenex® Lubricants to transportation, construction or industrial end-users, with the exception of the following products:
• Concrete Form Oil
• Chain Bar Oil
• Drip Oil
• Cenex Sure Seal WL®

Program Process
IMPORTANT: The first submission for each end-user must be 750 gallons or it will be returned to the District Manager until volume is met.
1. Dealers must complete the electronic Commercial Volume Credit Form from your district manager and complete it electronically for qualifying end-users. Please do not print the form and do not provide handwritten completion.
2. Complete one form per commercial account type, e.g., one per transportation, construction, and industrial. Multiple end-users, per dealer, can be on the same form.
3. Scan and attach supporting documentation – local dealer data and invoices – as required. Include a copy of one of the following for each end-user showing their purchases for the 2017 fiscal year:
a. Sales receipts
b. Account invoices
c. Computer sales reports by the customer.

Objective
Assist dealers in acquiring new customers by assisting in the purchase of petroleum equipment needed to do business with CHS.
Dealer’s Target Audience
Prospects that purchase a minimum of 300 gallons annually and have not purchased any Cenex® Lubricant products in the last 24 months.
Prospects include producers, fleets, construction operations, manufacturing plants, logging companies, installers, government units, OEM installers, consumer retail sites, etc. (Prospects do not include other dealers, distributors, or cooperatives).

Program Dates
Ongoing program. CHS will issue credit within 45 days of receiving the completed program credit request.
Program Process
Together with their CHS District Manager, dealers can identify qualified prospects:
1. End-users who have not purchased any Cenex Lubricants in the last 24 months.
2. Establish the equipment needs and CHS support of the prospect. This information is used in formulating the agreement.
3. Secure new customer and agree on Payback Schedule and a 300 gallon annual purchase of CHS Lubricants via the 2017 Cost Share Equipment Form. Dealers should utilize their District Manager to help with this contract.
Terms
Dealers may receive up to 75% of the total equipment cost per new end-user at the time of sale with a maximum amount indicated in the chart below and a 1-2 year Cenex Lubricants purchase agreement.
* For equipment support greater than $2,500, the following is required:1. Purchase agreement greater than 2 years.

Payback Schedule (For Equipment Credits Greater than $2,500.00)
The end-user agrees to purchase 500 gallons of Cenex Lubricants for two years in exchange for CHS helping to meet their petroleum equipment needs. In addition, the end-user understands that a payback schedule activates if they do not follow the terms of the agreement:
• Dealers may receive up to 75% of the total equipment cost per new end-user at the time of sale with a maximum amount of $750 for 300-499 gallons annually or $2,500 for 500 + gallons annually and a 1-2 year Cenex Lubricants purchase agreement.
• For equipment support greater than $2,500, a Cenex Lubricant purchase agreement beyond 2 years must be signed. Length of this agreement determined by CHS District Manager.
If the end-user discontinues purchasing Cenex Lubricants prior to the end of the terms, the dealer will be charged back the appropriate payback level indicated below. Year one begins on the date of the first Cenex Lubricants delivery to the end-user.

2017 FIELD TEST CHALLENGE PROGRAM
Objective
Assist dealers in demonstrating to skeptical prospects the ability of Cenex® Lubricants to meet or exceed the performance of the prospect’s current brand of lubricants.
Dealer’s Target Audience
New end-users with multiple pieces of equipment, e.g. agricultural, construction, trucking, municipal, etc.
They should meet the following criteria:• Oil usage exceeds 1,000 gallons per year
• Have a high probability of purchasing Cenex Lubricants if performance meets requirements
• Willing to complete the field test and associated LubeScans®
Ongoing Program Process
1. Prior to approval, the dealer must submit a completed field test challenge approval form to their District Manager.
Upon approval, the District Manager and dealer works with the end-user:
a. To supply oil and ensure each LubeScan is conducted and submitted after each oil change. With the first samples submitted, a fresh sample of the competitor’s oil is required
b. For more reliable results, run the test with two pieces of equipment using Cenex Lubricants and two using competitor’s oil
2. Submit Approval Form along with the following items to CHS Lubricants for product reimbursement:
a. Delivery ticket of actual gallons delivered to the prospect
b. Copy of dealer invoice showing purchase of Cenex Lubricants used in the Field Test Challenge
3. Dealer should follow up with their CHS Lubricants District Manager every three months at a minimum and at the completion of the challenge to report progress. Staying in contact with prospects throughout the test cycle and continuing to attempt to close the sale improves the effectiveness of this tactic and may shorten the delay in getting the initial order.
Terms
CHS pays for Cenex Lubricants and LubeScans to complete the Field Test Challenge on up to two pieces of equipment for up to one year (not to exceed 100 gallons and 10 LubeScans). LubeScans include TBN and TAN measurements.
A new end-user is one who has not purchased Cenex Lubricants in the past 24 months.

Objective
Help dealers defray costs of conducting professional informational meetings for farmers, end-users, and other cooperative customers.
Dealer’s Target Audience
New end-users, farmers, and other cooperative customers with multiple pieces of equipment such as agricultural, construction, trucking, municipal, etc.
Program Dates
September 1, 2016 — August 31, 2017
Program Process
1. CHS Lubricants District Managers must be contacted to learn more and to set a meeting date.
2. Internally communicate the objectives and plans for the meeting(s) and each employee’s responsibilities to ensure success.
3. Plan ahead to staff the event with knowledgeable CHS lubricants sales representatives who may answer questions and talk with customers.
4. Work with the CHS sales team to determine which customers and prospects should receive a special invitation.
5. Two to three weeks prior to the meeting, send out invitations.
6. Compile a confirmed guest list.
Terms
CHS lubricants will provide end-user meeting support at the discretion of the dealer's CHS District Manager when the following qualifications are met:
• Minimum of 15 end-user attendees
• Copy of meeting agenda provided
• Meetings must include presentation of material on Cenex® branded lubricants to qualify
• Attendee list (or photo) provided
• Paid receipts for expenses provided
• Plans for follow-up by the dealer have been agreed upon with the Lubricants District Manager
• Annual meetings, tradeshows, expos, or large-scale workshops with minimal Cenex branded content, do not qualify

Ideas To Make The Meeting A Success
• Incorporate an article in the dealer newsletter and website well in advance of the meeting date
• Develop a communications and promotions plan to advertise the event
• Two to three weeks prior to the meeting, place advertisements in local newspapers, local radio stations, and on the dealer website
• Seek out door prizes to be given away to participants; make sure to have registration forms available to record the customer’s information
• Follow-up on the invitations with phone calls approximately two to three days prior to the meeting to remind invited customers and to answer questions
• Within one week after the meeting, send a follow-up thank you postcard
• Within one week, make follow-up calls to: - Thank the customer for attending
- Solicit comments and answer any questions
- Ask for their lubricants order

INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
CHS believes that dealer advertising plays a critical role in moving customers toward the purchase of Cenex® Lubricants. The Cenex Lubricants Ad Share Program has been developed to assist dealers with marketing to their local market audience, while maintaining Cenex brand standards.
The lubricants marketing department will confirm if dealer-paid lubricants advertising qualifies as an eligible advertising expenditure. Advertising that meets all Ad Share Program eligibility requirements will be reimbursed in accordance with Ad Share Guidelines posted on cenexshop.com.
PLEASE NOTE:
• All advertising for an Agricultural audience MUST include the Cenex Total Protection Plan® logo in print or mention in radio advertising
• All advertising for a Commercial audience (Transportation, Construction, Industrial) MUST include Maxtron® imagery or mention in radio advertising

General Guidelines:
• Funding: Dealers receive 50/50 ad share on items submitted in fiscal year 2017. The maximum cumulative ad share available per dealer is $1,500. Once that level is reached, additional ad share claims will be denied
• Guidelines: To receive reimbursement, advertising submissions must be in compliance with all program guidelines, brand guidelines, and include the required documentation
• Claim processing: Claims will be processed via credit within 45 business days of receipt of all required documentation
• Missing or incomplete documentation: Dealers will be notified by their District Manager if additional information or documentation is required to process a claim
• Claim Submission: Claims and required documentation with signatures must be postmarked by September 30, 2017. All dealers must utilize a prior approval process before ad runs. Send proposed advertising to [email protected] for prior review and approvals

2. The end-user, or dealer on behalf of an end-user, completes a Gift Cards for Gallons Redemption Form, attaches the qualifying receipt(s), and mails it to CHS post-marked no later than April 7, 2017.
3. IMPORTANT NOTE: Qualifying receipt(s) must include a Cenex-brand product name that can be verified, for example "Superlube TMS 15W-40", NOT "15W-40". Purchased qualifying volume must also be easily identified and correctly calculated to a minimum of 125 total gallons.
4. Dealers are encouraged to use Ad Share materials posted on cenexshop.com to promote the offer.

End-users earn one $50 VISA® gift card for every 125 gallons of lubricant and grease products purchased between November 1, 2016 and February 28, 2017. Grease is converted to gallons at a rate of 7.5 pounds to 1 gallon (i.e. 750 pounds grease/7.5 = 100 gallons).

Every Cenex brand lubricants dealer has access to MyCHS – formerly known as the CHS customer portal. MyCHS hosts direct links to advertising tools, marketing programs and valuable business information, all designed to assist customers with managing and growing their Cenex fuels, lubricants and/or propane sales.
You can access CHS Lubricants on MyCHS by clicking Energy >Lubricants from the MyCHS homepage. The homepage is accessed by visiting chsinc.com and clicking "MyCHS Log-In" in the top menu bar. Customers not already registered for a MyCHS account access can register by clicking “MyCHS Log-in” and then “Register for Account Access.”
