Delivering more than just meals…
Project Overview• Since first joining MOW almost three years ago, I have been
searching for the right opportunity which had a dual element for our recipients with art and children.
• In 2014, Greenwood Cultural Center approached us to offer a service component to their summer arts program. This was a double winner for both Orgs! I could get handmade art for our recipients and we could start our MOW KidsClub! We decided to pilot the project in June 2015 so we could expand in 2016!
• A special thanks to Jan Heister for her consultation services to the project!

June 3, our first delivery day!

We talked about what it meant to be homebound, then practiced what to do, soon after the kids launched into action!

We divided the kids into groups to take the food to each door

This team of girls really had the “MOW welcome” down!

This little guy was a real trooper. He had broken his foot playing soccer but didn’t phase him a bit!

This recipient really loved the art work. Talked to the kids about the drawing!

They shared their art with pride and gave a blessing to each recipient!

This was an added blessing as this recipient is a volunteer for GCC!

We capped the delivery day off with “slushies.” It was very warm
day!

It was definitely a moment for our mission!
