DELIVERANCEWhat is deliverance?

Deliverance/Liberty, aphesis:

Release from bondage or imprisonment;

in Luke 4:18 it is used of “liberation”

from captivity (deliverance).



•When God sets captives free.

•Casting out evil/demonic spirits out of a person.

•A miracle occurring (Mark 9:38-39).

•A sign that God’s Kingdom is present (Matt.

12:28)

C.O.R.R.D METHOD OF DELIVERANCE

Cut those cords that have them bound up!

Take your time and minister in this area. Focus on removing the “trash” that demons are latched on to. Once the “trash” is removed, it will be easier to put

the demons out.

They derive strength and “rights” from the junk in our lives. Inner healing taking place through prayer,

repentance, forgiveness, etc. works WONDERS here.


C.O.R.R.D METHOD OF DELIVERANCEOur Methodology for ministering deliverance (C.O.R.R.D):

Practical Suggestions1. Ask the person their problem? (Ask Questions!)

• What made you come up for prayer today?

• How can I pray for you?

• What did you hear in the message that made you

respond to the altar call?

• Conduct an interview so you can get an “inner view.”

2. If they are not born again, lead them to the Lord. DO NOT

minister deliverance to someone who is not saved, who is

not willing to commit their life to Christ or who desires to

remain in sin.

3. Be compassionate, kind, and gentle. Don’t be judgmental.

4. Use your authority as a believer!

5. Follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance

6. Use the Name of Jesus

1. How long should I minister to someone?

2. How do you know when deliverance is over or not? And since deliverance can take some time (and LOTS of energy), should we try to pair up with another altar team member, if possible?

3. How do you know when prayer should switch over to deliverance? And once deliverance starts should you return to prayer or continue going in with deliverance?

4. What is the specific spirit that puts people to sleep during the deliverance process? I've seen it happen (and experienced it) in the deliverance process.

We have evidence even in the OT (Story of Moses) that demonic agents that use humans can perform signs in

attempts to validate or deceive. What did God do then?

He anointed his servants to perform signs that not even the magicians of that day were able to perform. Just like

he did then, he does now.

This miracle of casting out demons is one sign that they cannot perform. (Luke 11:18)
