Following our sell-out annualconference in 2009, we arepleased to invite you to:Y W8 2 LOSE W8 – the annual conferenceof the National Obesity Forum, celebratingthe organisation’s tenth anniversaryand a decade of improving health.

Speakers include Dr Ian Campbell, MBEFounder of the NOF

Thursday 7 & Friday 8 October, 2010.

To be held at The Royal College of Physicians,11 St Andrews Place, Regent's Park,London NW1 4LE.

Dear Delegate,If you have an interest in Obesity, diabetes, and all the otherrelated conditions, you cannot miss the NOF’s 10th anniversaryconference. Our birthday celebration will comprise the usualsell-out conference which will concentrate on how to manageobesity for the general population in the clinical setting,as well as the management of weight alongside diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other illnesses that wewitness many times each day in our clinics.NOF has gained invaluable support from Maria and the girlssince its inception in 2000, and continues to be overseen byan expert group of loyal trustees. However the climate relatingto obesity has changed only falteringly over the decade:two steps forward, one step back. The challenge now isto promote obesity management in our clinics, alongsideprevention for the decade ahead, so that by our 20thanniversary, obesity will be recognised and successfullymanaged as a disease in its own right, and also in itsposition as the underlying factor in diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnoea, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, cancer andstroke to name but a few co-morbidities.

We look forward to seeing you at the RCP in October.Best wishes,

DavidProfessor David Haslam,Chair
