As a result, our students are being hired immediately for in-demand jobs and our renowned CTE program has been recognized with a $3.5 million National ScienceFoundation grant to develop coursesin sustainable building operation practices for two-year schools across the country. From architecture towelding, Laney has more than 30CTE opportunities for you to exploreand �nd a ful�lling career.

EXCELHighlighted by an internationally renowned dance program that o�ers multiple genres of dance, including West African, Laney College’s arts programs are designed to stimulate, enlighten, and enrich your overall education. Art students paint, draw, and create original ceramics in a new building designed just for them. Theater Arts students can gain practical experience for professional and community theater work and partner with local schools. And whether your music interest is career-oriented or recreational, Laney’s programs o�er a wide variety of instrumental and voice courses, as well as the oppor-tunity to be part of a combo or an orchestra. Both students and community groups perform regularly in the beautiful Odell Johnson Performing Arts Center on the Laney campus.
