Wednesday - Read and Meditate: Matthew 27:31-54 What do these verses say to you? How do they make you feel? What do they make you want to do? Pray: Thank Jesus for going through the pain of the cross for you. Ask Him what he wants you to do in response to His sacrifice.

Thursday - Read: 1 Timothy 1:15 What does this verse say about Jesus’ purpose for coming to earth? What does it say about our position before Him? Pray: Ask God to make you as humble as Paul (“of which I am the worst!”) Praise Jesus for coming to this world for the purpose of saving you.

Friday - Read: 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 What do these verses say about your future? About Jesus’ love for you? Pray: Thank God for His defeat of death! Ask Him to help you live for Him since he died for you!

Saturday – Read: Jonah 1 Pray: Prepare my heart and mind to hear from you tomorrow.

What part of today’s message challenged, troubled or encouraged you?

Revelation 13:8 speaks to God’s planning to save us even before sin came into the world. How does that speak to God’s love for human kind?

Out of three main points given in the message, which one, if any, surprised you? If not surprised, which one meant the most to you?

In Matthew 27:45, scripture tells us that from noon to about 3pm there was an unnatural darkness that came to the land. What do you believe that darkness meant?

What does the two purposes of Jesus’ deliberate death given in the message tell you about how God sees you? What different perspective of this earthly life do they bring?
