Our electronics business offers a hugely flexible service which is scalable to handle medium to large manufacturing requirements, as well as having the capability to develop prototypes and hand build applications.

Origin have four SMT lines, offering scalable capacity for your needs. We have the capacity to offer 0402 to uBGA placement, variable volumes and fast turnaround, together with an IPC certified engineering team.

Our SMT equipment from industry leaders Philips and Sanyo give us the resources to deliver an efficient and cost effective manufacturing service.

While we continue to specialise in PCB Assembly, the company also provides a strong service offering in several other areas, including:

At Origin we operate three thermoforming lines with the capacity to offer a wide range of packaging tray solutions.

We work with a range of materials including Hips, PET and PLA. Our thermoforming capacity allows us to manufacture trays up to an area of 700 x 500 mm with a daily operating capacity of up to 100,000 units in a standard shift.

As a customer you will benefit from our extensive experience in the area of electronic component packaging, where we work with client companies in a number of markets including; connectors, automotive and aerospace.

Continuous investment and expansion of our thermoforming facilities means we can provide resources that are second to none. In addition, Origin offer a vast array of tray solutions for the food packaging, fish processing and horticulture sectors.

Plant and seed trays are supplied to the Irish and UK Market. 2010 saw the development of trays for use in fish processing, with both a 1 kg as well as a .5 kg prawn tray. At Origin we have a number of offerings in this area including trays for salmon as well as white fish.

Our lead times for designing and producing prototype samples are among the fastest in the industry. A dedicated in-house tooling design and manufacture facility enables Origin to quickly and economically develop rapid samples, as well as complete production tooling sets.

Origin is the biggest Irish manufacturer of carrier tubes for the connector market in Europe. With 7 extrusion lines, Origin has unique focus and experience on carrier tube manufacture. Lines operate a range of sizes up to 60 mm, inline stamping, punching and printing - all form part of the offering at Origin.

Origin have invested heavily in this area and we believe we are the only manufacturer that can offer manufacturing capability without the need for tooling charges for a number of parts. We have uniquely developed a number of processes to allow us to manufacture technical tubes to exact specifications, without the need for complete tool sets to be developed. This allows Origin to provide a very real cost saving to our clients.

Working with a range of materials from PVC to PS to PP, in various colours, we can provide custom extrusion in both profiles and tubes, in rigid or flexible format.

In-house tooling design and production facilities again allows us to provide a single source solution to your extrusion needs.

As part of the manufacturing services that we can offer here at Origin, we have developed a number of resources to increase our offering, this includes:

• Flexible work areas to allow us to develop appropriate manufacturing areas to complete client projects in a controlled, safe and efficient manner.

• A dedicated white room to carry out packaging inspection, sort and pack-out services.

• The ability to place engineers and operators on-site in a number of roles, as needed by client companies.

• At Origin we can also complete box build projects, carry out product screening and develop reverse logistics solutions on a purely variable cost basis. This means that right from product recall, field returns, reworking and repair, we can provide you with a single point of return and refurbishment, culminating with product ready for return to the manufacturing line or field stock.

IALSInvestment in recent years has enabled the development at

Origin of materials recovery resources in the area of plastics.

Our extensive granulating capacity for waste material, processes nearly 2 tonnes of post - manufacturing materials such as HIPS, PVC, PET and PP on a daily basis.

In tandem, the company operates 3 granulating stations, handling different materials to ensure protection from contamination.

Recently we have seen the addition of an in-line pelletising station which has resulted in an increase in the quality of recovered material in regular pellet form.

In developing these resources, we have as a business, moved to both avoid a cost area, as well as developing a revenue source. By partnering with Origin, we will assist you in recovering value from your production waste streams, either for onward sale or for return to your facility.
