Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) provides an excellentopportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in basic andapplied Life Sciences research. DIPAS endeavors in optimizing human, performanceunder extreme operational environments using physiological, biochemical, nutritionaland ergonomic approach. The labs are equipped with state-of-art facilities to conducthuman studies, animal and in-vitro experimentation with an interdisciptinarv approach.

Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates for the post-of DRDOJunior Research Fellows to work in ongoing and future research projects of DIPAS.Recruited JRF may be facilitated to register for PhD programme. . .

Essential Qualifications:

For Junior Research Fellows (No. of Seats 7) . 'Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences (Physiology/ Biochemistry/Bio Medical Sciences)with first division wherever division or equivalent grading is awarded. . . ..

Desirable: Preference will be given to those who have a)' Qualified ,in CSJR-NET/UGC-NET/NET/GATE examination; b) working experience in the above mentionecdisciplines/areas, t·, , .

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at DIPAS, Lucknow Road,Timarpur, Delhi-110054 and confirmation related to interview date will be sent toshort-listed candidates through email only.

General Conditions:

1. Only those candidates who have completed the course and have been awardeddegree/ provisional certificate are eligible to apply. However, the candidates appearingfor final year M.Sc are also eligible to apply and are required to submit the proof ofcompletion of course/ provisional certificate on the date of interview.

2. JRF's are offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 25000/- for 1st and 2nd year andRs. 28000/- for 3rd year (if retained as JRF) during entire tenure. H.R.A and Medicalfacilities are applicable as per rules.

3. The tenure of the fellowship will be initially for a period of two years and based onperformance, it may be extended for 3rd and 4thyear if required. '

4. The offer of fellowship will under no circumstances confer on the candidates any right 'for absorption in DRDO.

5. The candidate may be allowed to register for PhD with any university/lnstitufionduring the tenure of fellowship.

6. No TAlDA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining ,if selected.

7. Candidates working in GovtlPublic sector undertakings/Autonomous bodies shouldsend their application through proper channel. '

8. Admission shall not be claimed by any. candidate as a matter of right. The admissionshall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute which ·maycrefuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reasonthereof. '
