Research & Technology Center Rio - Subsea Technology ambition:
• Enable leaner-cleaner-smarter subsea field developments down to 3000 m
• Enhance mature/develop new subsea technologies to use in new fields
Subsea
Production
Systems
Sea water
treatment and
injection
Subsea Artificial
Lift Separation
Risers and
Pipelines
Technology Gap /
Requirement
• Contribute to the UDW strategy:
• Understand and handle design drivers for risers and mooring in UDW.
• New riser concepts, new materials
• Fiber rope mooring systems & components.
• Cost, efficient, reliable deep water boosting
• Minimize the topside modification impact
• Contribute to minimize the riser functionalities to reduce cost
• Gas liquid separation for ultra deep water
• Liquid liquid separaiton for ultra deep water
• Gas, oil and water treatment technologies for ultra deep water
• New pipe materitals
• Understand and handle design drivers for deep and ultradeep pipelines
TECHNOLOGY
STRATEGY Business Critical Technologies (BCT) => Contribute to realize the Deepwater Factory
• Remove fines and sulfates to enable sea water injection for fields suspectible to souring and clogging
• Efficient operation and cleaning of filtering technologies
• Efficient replacement of filter units
