Drilling and Milling Operations.
The DHDM’s main spindle is used for deephole drilling featuring Gundrill and BTA/STS processes.
A dedicated CAT50 Taper Milling Spindle in a retracting quill is used for operations required for gundrilling such as; spot facing, thread milling and CNC milling.
The DHDM-R-I design places the pivot point of the tilting headstock directly behind the spindles, yielding the benefit of a much shorter column height for a similar work envelope. The tilting headstock is guided by curved box ways and Turcite surfaces for maximum rigidity.
The newest version of the DHDM-R-I features a new 1.5 meter by 2 meter rectangular t-slot table which was chosen based on customer feedback.
Other options include; Table Enclosure, 60 Tool ATC and Through-Spindle Coolant for the milling spindle to improve function with high feed drills.
The TARUS CNC Control is standard and the Heindehain TNC 640 is available.
