The heritage of the company’s history combined with an ethos for excellence and creative experimentation has defined the Decortex brand. The new 2012 collection meets today’s demanding interiors and exteriors with a range of fabrics that suorces the finest materials and utilises innovative combinations of colours and design. This sophisticated spring collection is categorised under four inspiratinal themes:

Decortex Collection 2012

VINTAGE STYLISH: Evoking the charm of yesteryear and presented with a contemporary touch, these fabrics have a very soft hand and comes in lovely colour ranges. Flintstone is an aged Damask linen, stone-washing creates a subtle elegance and comes in 7 colours. Fedra drapes beautifully, this 295 cm wide linen is pre-washed and has a gorgeous palette of 33 colours. The multicoloured tartan Medley and the fresh stripes of the curtain Tango respectively add a light buoyant touch to this theme.


CLASSIC ELEGANCE: Refined textiles with a compellingly coloured yet graceful palette these are perfect for classic and essential décors alike. The group is spearheaded by Jazz a new cotton velvet, Resilient (40.000 martindale rubs) and very user-friendly it comes in 32 sophisticated colours. The checked and lustrous/opaque sheer Scaccomatto matches elegantly with a fine multi-coloured cotton stripe named Swing.


MODERN ASIA: Colour, lightness and brightness characterise these fabrics. Inspired by a contemporary Asia which is dynamic, optimistic yet still rooted in tradition. Oriente is a design that espouses this idea, a cotton and linen mix where damask and Ikat pattern combine for an extraordinarily versitile fabric. It is 320cm wide and is presented in 22 colours, from pastels to lively aquas to intense reds. Oriente is a reversible jacquard quality that matches well with Sprint: this is an elegant polyester satin which comes in 50 colours, this quality is both washable and durable (25.000 martindale rubs). Joy is a useful silk-polyester taffeta, 330cm wide and it is presented in 67 colours. With its soft and ‘wool-like’ hand Lime makes wonderful curtains and is available in 20 modern colours. It has a particularly interesting weave that will add texture to the décor.


CONTEMPORARY IN & OUT: Versitile, exciting and unique not only in approach but also the technology used to create the yarn; this is new woven textile that can be used inside or outside. The colours and the texture of the 5 designs evoke the vitality and fascination of Meditteranean Morrocco. The pattern of Marrakech is inspired by antique Saharan carpets and is the cornerstone design of the group. Erfoud and Ouazzane are both textured plains but in different weaves. The stylish refined and elegant stripe Meknès differs from the larger and more textured stripe named Fés which has a panama as ground weave. Complementing the group is the fluid and decorative curtaining fabric: Essaouira. Printed on linen fabric using a special printing technique, this colourful curtain is 300cm wide and the stripe can be used both horizontally and vertically.

IN&OUT YARN CHARACTERISTICS

100% made in Italy. For contract and residential use (40.000 martindale rubs). Indoor and outdoor. Extremely soft and non pilling. Sun resistant (rating is 6/7 on the blue scale afer 1500 hours of

exposure to Xenotex) Mildew and bacteria resistant, non-toxic and anti-allergenic.

Extremely durable: resists salinity, chlorine, acids, sunscreen, perspiration and staining.

Eco-friendly, 100% recyclable and significantly uses very little energy to produce compared with other synthetics.

Washable at 40oC, and does not crease so no pressing is required. One of the lightest fibres known and it also floats on water. Finally this is a paraffinic and hydrocarbon yarn and consequently

it does not absorb water. The amount of moisture retained by this yarn under normal conditions is insignificant when compared with other fibres. This gives great stability to the fabric in any climatic situations that it is used.
