Wilsonart International® was founded as a producer of

high pressure decorative laminate in 1956 in Texas,

USA, by Ralph Wilson, Sr., a retired laminate industry

executive. Wilson’s intent was never to build a major

competitor – the field in those days included 12 domestic

competitors - but rather to fill his free time. Throughout

the 1960s, Wilson’s “hobby” grew dramatically through a

formula comprising a dedicated local workforce, high-

quality products and an old-fashioned commitment to

customer service.

chemical resistant laminates answers the challenge. Specifically designed

for highly corrosive environments, Chemsurf provides exceptional chemical

resistance in most Wilsonart® Laminate standard designs. This ‘Functional’

design solution is laminate. It is not only lighter in weight than other surface

alternatives, but is often less expensive upfront and over its life cycle, than

slate, stainless steel or epoxy. It is ideal also for applications where harsh

cleaning agents may be over-used and damage other decorative surfaces.
