Cross-country skiing is the most ancient sport practiced in the Zoldo val-

ley, whose World, Olympics and National Champi-onship athletes, winners of several medals have made Zoldo

proud. If you are fond of cross-country skiing or you would like to try this sport, the Zoldo valley is just for you, as it proposes different possibilities!

Start with Fattor Pompeo’s circuit in Palafavera, then, with good snow conditions, the 1,1 km night lit circuit in Campo di Zoldo, or the circuits of Passo Cibiana.

In the Val di Zoldo and Ski Civetta ski areas you can ski at altitudes between 1300 and 2400 m. For ski and snowboard lovers, the Zoldo valley together with the entire Dolomites ski area, formed 200 million years ago by primordial seas, offer more than 1200 km of downhill slopes, with fresh snow, blue skies and wonderful sunny days, in a real winter paradise. Once, the highest and most known Dolomites peaks such as the Sella’s group, Mount Marmolada, Mount Pelmo and the Civetta range were atolls. The Zoldo valley offers the possibility of skiing day and night in the heart of the Dolomites, the most beautiful mountains in the world.

A unique event of its type, bringing together special athletes and schools students. Everybody takes part in walks on the snow, a snow shoe race followed by downhill skiing, and ending with a friendly ski relay race.Organizer ASD Sci di Fondo Val di Zoldo.

Once again, the customary end of season event dedicated to the cross-country skiing will go ahead, in its fifth edition. Participants, both athletes and amateurs, will put themselves to the test on the trails known as Classic (6 km) and Endurance (15 km). Children will run on the 3 km Light trail. NATURALISTIC EXHIBITION The naturalistic exhibition of Pieve di Zoldo offers a rich collection of animals traces found in our woods. The "restaurant"of the woodpecker, a hollow log where you can see clear signs of pecking, the many nests and footprints that allow the visitor to recognize the passage of the deer, the fox and the badger, or again, the bear. An exciting lesson divided in three wide rooms.

GEIGER COUNTER MUSEUM Multi-thematic exhibition dedicated to the equipments to mesure radioactivity, from the Cold War to the most modern equipments.
