PUPPET SHOW
• We hope that everyone had a wonderful
Thanksgiving. „Thank You‟ to all who helped
make our Thanksgiving Feast a wonderful
time. Your assistance, contributions and
service were greatly appreciated.
CLASS PARTIES
•Class Christmas parties will be held on
December 21st. Sign up sheets for food,
beverage or dessert contributions are
located outside your child‟s classroom.
AS A REMINDER: This month we celebrate
and remember Jesus‟ birthday. Our holiday
parties and winter themes are to honor His
birth. Please remember this when sending in
goodies and craft ideas that Santa,
reindeer, and elves are not a part of our
celebrations. Have a joyous season and
share our Savior‟s birth with others.
BOOK EXCHANGE
•During our Christmas parties,
students will participate in a book
exchange. January is Reading
Awareness month. This will provide our
students with a great head start on reading
in the New Year. We are asking that you
purchase one small $1.00 reading or
coloring book only. Please wrap and label
the book with your child‟s name only in the
„From‟ area of the gift tag and bring it to
class no later than Wed. December 14th.

Library News from Mrs. Williams
As we celebrate the Christmas holidays, let‟s
not forget – JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE
SEASON! The joy of sharing books is a gift you
can give children from the time they are born.
Chanting nursery rhymes, singing songs, &
reading stories can comfort & entertain even
the youngest child.
Students visit the library weekly - either on
Monday or Tuesday. This is a great &
rewarding experience for each child. Reading
encourages decision making and responsibility
skills. Parents PLEASE, PLEASE encourage your
child to return their library book(s). Students
are able to check out a book ONLY if they
have returned a previously checked out book.
Reading is the best gift you can give to a child.
You can‟t break it nor lose it. So please take an
interest in “Reading Aloud” to your child
which is one of the most effective ways to
build literary skills & prepare your child for
success in school.
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS

•Parents, thank you so much for your help with our Thanksgiving Feast. This
school year is passing by so quickly. All of our students are in need of more
glue sticks, crayons, pencils and facial tissues. We will be starting our reading
books soon. Thank you so much for helping your child to develop a daily
reading schedule. It helps them tremendously. Our classes will be voting on
what kind of meal they want for the celebration of Jesus‟ birthday. Also our
students will participate in a book exchange. If you would love for your child
to participate please send in a wrapped book (good for either a girl or boy
to read) by December 19th.
