PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

We at Akshara Vaagdevi International School believe in a holistic development of our students.

Each student is a unique individual with special gifts and talents – we hope that with motivation,

encouragement and hard work that all our students will discover their individual talents. Sports are

one of the most happening thrills in a student’s life. It teaches them many qualities like dedication,

and leadership, discipline etc. It’s a well known fact that any form of Physical exercise is good not

only for one’s body but their spirit as well. That is the reason, this year we have come up with La

Sante- Annual Sports day.

RHYMES WORLD CUP STORY TELLING COMPETITION HELD AT AVIS: 01/12/2019

School conducted rhymes and story-telling competition, organized by Pre School Owners. The

competition was thrown open to all the Pre-Primary students from different schools. Many

Preschool students, from different school participated in the event and received certificates.

PRE-PRIMARY ASSEMBLY: 02/12/2019

Primary assembly is conducted to inculcate a feeling of unity among the little ones. It gives a

platform for the students to build confidence, learn social discipline develop core values and also

get updated with happenings in the school.

SOLO DANCE COMPETITION- PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FOR PRE-PRIMARY TO GRADE II ON 02/12/19.

As part of children's day Programmers’, students from Pre-primary to Grade-II participated in solo

dance competition and the winners received certificates by the Principal on 02/12/2019.

DISCUSSION ON ABUSE AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP- GRADE-IX: 03/12/2019

Discussion helps students in many ways, at whatever stage they are in their life. It can act as a

support for them in the process of leaving an abusive relationship and help to restore self-esteem and re-examine

healthy ways of relating following abuse.

As a part of BCI project Grade V and VI collaborated with a school in Russian Federation where the

students of AVIS shared the knowledge of spices. They prepared Borch receipe , demonstrated and

explained the various ways to find out the adulteration of different spices.

Students presented their solar working models spoke about it , students also demonstrated the

factors affecting the utility of a solar panel., and presented model of world famous monument lit

by solar panel ( Effiel Tower & Vatican city)

Students of PP2 are taught the concept of ‘is’ and ‘are’. The Concept helps the students to enhance

their comprehensive skills.

PRE-PRIMARY EVENT FIRELESS COOKING COMPETITION MOTHER AND CHILD: 07/12/2019

A fireless cooking competition was held on 7/12/19 at AVIS where the parents and the children

exhibited they culinary prowess in preparing various sumptuous dishes. A sense of bonding of

togetherness prevailed between the parents and the children.

AI( ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) WORKSHOP BY DIGITAL LYNC TECHNOLOGIES FOR STUDENTS OF GRADE VII & VIII

ON 6/12/19

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer

systems. These processes include learning (the acquisition of information and rules for using the information),

reasoning (using rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions) and self-correction. Particular applications of AI

include expert systems, speech recognition and machine vision.

In the workshop our students developed an AI project Home automation using Google Assistance (by giving voice

commands through Google assistance home appliances (fan, light) on or off.

PRE-PRIMARY ACTIVITY: THEME FESTIVALS: 06/12/2019

Festivals are important part in promoting the traditions and culture of India. Keeping this in view

we at AVIS organised a gala of celebrating different festivals like Eid, Christmas and Sankranthi. The

tiny tots came dressed in their best haute couture.

COUNSELLOR TIME: GOOD TOUCH BAD TOUCH FOR GRADE-III:10/12/2019

Session helped students to distinguish the difference between good and bad (appropriate or inappropriate) touch. To affirm a child’s right to say no to an adult or anyone who makes them feel uncomfortable.

STUDENTS PRACTICING KARATE AND SKATING: 11/12/2019

COUNSELLOR TIME: PROBLEM SOLVING SKILL: HOW TO ESCAPE FROM DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR CLASS:VI:13/12/2019 Problem Solving is one of the important life skills. A major goal of counseling and education is to help students learn in ways that enable them to use what they have learned to solve problems in new situations and also how to escape from Dangerous situations.

Grade III to X students participated in Story Writing and Painting Competition on topic water conservation. Winners

of the competition received online certificates.

COLLAGE WORK ACTIVITY BY NURSERY: 20/12/2019

The little angels of nursery did a collage activity whereby they have to paste small pieces of colored

paper within the given picture. This activity helps them to develop fine motor skills.

PMS SILVER JUBILEE(25 YEARS) CELEBRATIONS AT SHILPA KALA VEDIKA, SHILPARAMAM on

ISO certification

Students participated in the cultural event and the school received the ISO 9001:2015

certification at the celebration of 25yrs of PMS

Art gallery at Shilpakala Vedika- student art work was displayed at the event

AI(Artificial Intelligence) Home automation using Google Assistance displayed at 25 year

celebrations where a student was dressed up as a Robot.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION ON 23/12/19

Students from Grades Nursery toVI celebrated Christmas with great fervour and joy.The tiny tots

of Nursery and PP came dressed up as little Santas and swayed away to the song and

dance.Grade V and VI enacted a skit where they showed the birth of Jesus Christ in a great

manner.

MATH DAY CELEBRATIONS ON 31/12/19

In honour of Sri Ramanujam Birthday, students from Grade PP to VIII participated and presented

various programmes in special assembly on that day.

SPORTS DAY PRIZE DISTRIBUTION ON 31/12/19

Academic Director Ms Alekya Pratap and Principal Mrs. Vanaja gave away the prizes to the

winners who Sports events finals conducted in the school for Grade I to V
