SIX MONTHS ACTIVE! How We Are Impacting Lives We are happy to announce we have been an active part in bettering the lives of the dogs of the Hocking County Dog Shelter for almost six months! We know many of you may donated prior to these past six months, but it took time and a lot of money to be able to cover the initial cost of starting up. We have covered the intake vaccinations of around 75 dogs and have bought parvo tests for the Hocking County Dog Shelter to have on standby in the event anyone shows questionable signs of being ill. Since we have been an active part in preventing parvo, however, we are happy to say no tests have been needed! We have also bought a variety of medications that can be used to treat the symptoms of parvo or just an upset stomach. We are currently working to build an emergency fund in case an injured or ill dog were to be picked up and taken to the Hocking County Dog Shelter. We are also reworking the budget to provide not only the basic DAPPv (Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Vaccine), but also the Bordetella vaccine on intake. This will double the intake cost per dog, but it will add Kennel Cough to the list of diseases being prevented on intake. By preventing these diseases, we are saving lives. And we couldn't do it without you and your support! We started in July being able to buy two trays of vaccinations, syringes, medication for treatment, and tests. It took months of donations and ground work, but we are here and we are so happy to be making a difference! We look forward to your continued support as we move forward. SIX MONTHS ACTIVE! How We Are Impacting Lives

We are happy to announce we have been an active part in bettering the

lives of the dogs of the Hocking County Dog Shelter for almost six months!

We know many of you may donated prior to these past six months, but it

took time and a lot of money to be able to cover the initial cost of starting up.

We have covered the intake vaccinations of around 75 dogs and have

bought parvo tests for the Hocking County Dog Shelter to have on standby in

the event anyone shows questionable signs of being ill. Since we have been

an active part in preventing parvo, however, we are happy to say no tests

have been needed! We have also bought a variety of medications that can be

used to treat the symptoms of parvo or just an upset stomach.

We are currently working to build an emergency fund in case an injured or

ill dog were to be picked up and taken to the Hocking County Dog Shelter.

We are also reworking the budget to provide not only the basic DAPPv

(Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Vaccine),

but also the Bordetella vaccine on intake. This will double the intake cost per

dog, but it will add Kennel Cough to the list of diseases being prevented on

intake. By preventing these diseases, we are saving lives.

And we couldn't do it without you and your support! We started in July

being able to buy two trays of vaccinations, syringes, medication for

treatment, and tests. It took months of donations and ground work, but we are

here and we are so happy to be making a difference! We look forward to your

continued support as we move forward.

Meet Our Save-A-PupDogs of the Month!

We hope to promote spaying and neutering pets with our “Dog of the Month” program. “Dog of the Month” chooses one dog a month within the Hocking

County Dog Shelter to be fully vetted. They are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated (including Rabies and Bordetella), and heartworm tested. If they

are in need of any other treatment at that time, they receive it. All of our Dogs of the Month have been adopted!
