Proceeds will be going to scholarships & Good Works. In addition, Club membership participation, in one form or another, was at 80%. Tournament golf shirts are still available for $20 each. Crutched for Africa Project -– 1 st set of crutches have been donated, & Pres. Tammy will be donating her back brace used in her recovery from a broken back when she was hit on her bicycle by a car New Paul Harris Fellow: Brian Braginton -Smith With PP Steve Albright making the presentation, Brian Braginton-Smith became the newest member of the Paul Harris fellowship for “the unselfish gift you have made.” Brian, formerly a member in the Cumberland, RI, Rotary Club, felt a “profound connection” in becoming a Paul Har- ris Fellow within the Yarmouth Rotary because of the honor having been previously bestowed upon his father, Jack Braginton-Smith. Introduction: Past District Governor Bill Ferreira President Tammy introduced Visiting Rotarian Bill Ferreira, vacation- ing on Cape Cod, who is the Past District Governor of District 6040 the home location of Rotary International, headquartered in Evanston, IL. Bill met Tammy and Jim Saben in Brazil at the recent R.I Convention, an opportunity “to sow many seeds of friendship.” Bill has been a Rotarian for 21 years and has been to 11 Rotary Conventions. His vacation plans to the Cape were set in motion totally from apart from his Rotary travels; but the lesson is clear: “Wherever you go, there are Rotarians to meet.Guest Speaker: Kristy Senatori, Deputy Director, Cape Cod Commission Chantal Hayes introduced Kristy Senatori, the Deputy Director of the Cape Cod Commission, where she leads the Commission’s Strategic In- formation Office focusing on information, innovation, and geodesign. Kristy graduated with a B.A. in Geology from Hamilton College, re- ceived a J.D. from Vermont Law School where she was editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, She is a member of the Massa- chusetts Bar. After graduating from law school, Kristy worked in the private sector for several years before joining the Commission and serving as the Com- mission’s Chief Regulatory Officer. She is currently leading the water quality, planning and economic development, regionalization, and smart- er government initiatives for the Commission. In presenting an overview of the Commission’s work today, she focused on the three main areas of concern: (1) Economic Development, (2) Information, and (3) Wastewater. The mission of the Cape Cod Commission is one of a bal- anced approach as a Regional Planning Agency with a defined purpose to preserve, promote, and implement. Kristy provided details of ● the Barnstable Area Regional Trends (BART), ● the role of the 40 staff members of the RESET projects, ● data warehousing within the Strategic Information Office (S.I.O.), ● 3D mapping of planimetrics data, ● the growth of “e-permitting,” ● the fast- er broadband of RWAN (Regional Wide Area Network), and ● updating the older plans of watershed sensitivity studies, stakeholder engagement, and regulation streamlining. New Paul Harris Fellow: Brian Braginton
