    NEW YEARS EVE, 7.30pm EUCHARISTA er receiving numerous posi ve (and no nega ve) comments, Father Chris has decided thatservices on New Years Day will be cancelled. There will be a Eucharist at 7.30pm on New Years

    Eve. It will mark the Feast of the Epiphany and serve as a Watch-Night service. The Watch-Nightprovides an opportunity to re ect on the year past and consider the year to come.

    NATIVITY PAGEANT - 24 December, 5.00pm The Childrens Na vity pageant will take place this year on Christmas Eve, 24 Decemberat 5.00pm. The evening will include a tradi onal na vity pageant in the church las ngapproximately thirty minutes, a cra ac vity in the Parish Centre and a bring-and-share ngerfood supper. We would like to include as many children as possible in the pageant - children,grandchildren, friends and neighbours. We simply ask the children appearing in the pageantcome to a rehearsal on Sunday 18 December during the 10am Eucharist, and following un l1pm (snacks provided). By the beginning of December, we an cipate having yers available fordistribu on. Please make the e ort to invite families with school-aged children that you know.

    LENTEN LEARNING 2012 - BEGINNING 26 FEBRUARY - Claim the DatesNext year there will be two op ons for Lenten Learning:1. Lenten Re ec on Groups - Towards the Light Six sessions of re ec on and discussion

    based on the Sunday gospel readings. This is based on a resource similar to the 2011Lenten Studies. You are invited to host a group in your home or at the Parish Centre.The resources are very user-friendly and come with a helpful CD.

    2. Lenten Lectures - Why Did Jesus Have to Die? Five Theories of Atonement .Five talks with discussions led by The Reverend Chris Bedding, Sunday eveningscommencing 26 February. Explore the theories tled: Ransom, Subs tu onaryAtonement, Christus Victor, Moral In uence and Scapegoa ng.

    MEDITATIONChris an Medita on will not take place during the months of December and January. In the newyear, weekly medita on will move to a new me slot of 8am each Saturday.

    JANUARY SABBATHFrom Christmas Day through to Friday 27 January, all parish events and mee ngs are cancelled,with the excep on of Sunday Eucharists. This enables breathing space for leaders and volunteers,

    and will help us launch into the new year feeling refreshed. Father Chris will be workingthroughout this me as normal.

    ADVENT TRADING TABLEThe Advent Trading Table will operate a er services today, suppor ng World Vision, PrisonFellowship, Anglicare WA and TEAR.

    ROSTER ADVICE FORMChurch Council has discussed our approach to crea ng rosters for hospitality tasks each Sunday.In 2012 we will be star ng from scratch with our rosters . Inside the door to the Parish Centreis a blue form. On it, you are asked to provide informa on about tasks you feel con dent doing,those you would be willing to try, your availability and so on. Please complete it and put it in theblue box provided.
