My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, On this Holy Family Sunday I wish to ask Almighty God’s choicest blessings on each of our families. May you find strength and peace in the Holy Family of Naz-areth. May their love fill your families with peace and joy throughout the New Year.

Please remember that New Year’s Day is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and is a Holy Day of Obliga-tion. Mass schedules for the Holy Day may be found in today’s bulletin.

Once again, I would ask for your kind consideration of the parish in your end of the year donations. Your gen-erosity will help us to continue to do the work of Christ in our area. Please remember us in your prayers as we assure you of our prayers as well. Thanking you for your generosity to the parish in the past, I am grateful for whatever help you can offer at the present time.

Please be sure to stop at the Nativity Scene with you family. Also, please be sure to visit the our new statue of the Infant King. Let us pray for our families and for a true respect for the dignity and sanctity of human life.

THIS WEEK ’S READINGS . . .

Can You “give a hand” with a

donation to the “statue Repair” Fund?

While the statue of Our Lady is being repaired from her “fall” from her pedestal last summer, we decided to have her hands and the hands of St. Patrick (statue is located by the Rushton Road entrance to the Academy) repaired also.

Both sets of hands have been in need of repair for many years.

REPORTING CONTRIBUTIONS &

YEAR-END TAX STATEMENTS . . .

All checks collected in the offertory baskets must be recorded as contributions on the date they are received, regardless of the date on the check. This year all 2012 contributions must be received by the parish no later than Monday, December 31.

As in the past, we will not mail out year-end tax statements to parishioners unless we are requested to do so. Please call the Parish Office (216.382.7601) if you need a statement, and we will be happy to prepare one for you. Tax statements will be available beginning February 1, 2013.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVES . . .

Jesus caused Mary and Joseph great anxiety when he went miss-ing at the age twelve. Upon finding him, his mother said, “Son, why have you done this to us?”

What mother of a teen has not found herself in a similar situation asking this same question! And, upon hearing the son’s answer found like Mary and Joseph “they did not understand what he said to them.”

Anxiety is normal in families ~ especially between parents and teens. Teens need protective parents but also perceptive ones who will help them discover and follow God’s path in their life in order to grow “in wisdom and age and favor.”

W ILL YOU BE ONBOARD??? . . .
