NEW JERSEY DARE DEVILSReaching goals through hockey
OUR TEAMThe New Jersey Dare Devils (NJDD) was started in 2002 as a physical outlet for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are a 501(c)(3) organization in the state of New Jersey and practice at Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange.
PRACTICESAll practices will be held on Rink 2 at South Mountain Codey Arena (560 Northfield Ave, West Orange, NJ).
Unless otherwise specified, all practices are split practices with the following schedule:
Juniors: 3:30-4:15 PMSeniors: 4:15-5:15 PM
Arrive with ample time to park and suit up for practice.
GAME SCHEDULEOur game schedule for this season is as follows:

December 7 (vs. Lehigh Valley) – 4:00 pm
December 8 at Brick Stars – 8:55 am
December 15 at Mercer – 9:40 am
2020
January 17-20 – Broome Special Hockey Festival,
Binghamton, NY
January 25-26 – Winter Classic, Long Island
March 7 at Woodbridge – 10:00 am
March 8 at Lehigh Valley – TBD
March 21-22 – Boston

Sea Creature update – They are running for their lives!! The slimy pair were seen running down Oak Lane singing “Judy’s Gotta Gun”! They escaped unharmed, and are setting up camp in the Piccirillo Home….
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends.
DECEMBER 7 - HOME GAMEOn Saturday, December 7, we will have practice from 3:30-4:00 pm for players not participating in the game. Our game against the Polar Bears will start at 4:00 pm. We will serve pizza to our players and guests after practice and after the game.
DECEMBER 8 - AWAY GAMEWe have an away game on Sunday, December 8, vs. the Brick Stars at 8:55 am. The rink, Ocean Ice Palace, is located at 197 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, NJ. The phone number is 732-477-4411. DRESS WARM as this is a very cold rink.
REGISTRATION FEESIf you haven’t paid your 2019/2020 registration fees, please see me at practice.
LEVEL UP TRAININGLevel Up training is scheduled for December 7th at 12:30 pm.
HOLIDAY PARTYKathy Kientz will be chairing the holiday party on December 14th during our regular practice hours.This year’s theme is Frozen II. If you are interested in helping out at the party, please contact Kathy at [email protected].
TEAM APPARELThe Team Store will reopen in January 2020.
WINTER PRACTICESPractices for December21st and 28th are canceled. Practice will resume onJanuary 4th.
GROUP NIGHT AT THE ROCKGroup Night at The Rock is TONIGHT (12/3) at 7pm. You should have received a waiver under a separate email. Please have it signed and ready to hand in when you come to the game if you wish to go on the ice for a team picture after the game. You can pick up your tickets at will call. Please bring a photo ID.
