Thursday, December 27Princess Tea Party in The Cloister Clubroom, 3:30 p.m. Hear ye! Hear ye! Princess Cloister is calling all princesses, ages 3-8, from across the land to join her for a royal tea party. Princesses are encouraged to wear their favorite princess dresses. Rumor has it that Prince Charming may stop by, so you don’t want to miss this royally epic event. $40/child. Reservations required.

Pirate Party at Sea Island Kids, 3:30 p.m.––Yo Ho Ho! Captain Black Banks is hosting a swashbuckling good time at Sea Island Kids! All young pirates, ages 3-8, from across the sea are invited to join him in making some pirate crafts, look for buried treasure, and play some island-hoping fun! $40/child. Friday, December 28Under-the-Sea Workshop at Sea Island Kids, 3:30-4:30 p.m.––Build a stuffed friend and take home a Sea Island cuddle. $55/child. Beach Club access and reservations required.

“The History of Spanish Settlements in Coastal Georgia” in the Spanish Lounge, 4 p.m.––Join local historian Buddy Sullivan for a presentation on the Spanish settlements in Coastal Georgia. Complimentary. Reservations required.

IRainbow Island Supper, 5:30-7:30 p.m.––Rainbow Island plays host to a relaxed and rustic family feast of authentic Southern cooking. Live music with Marshgrass and family fun for all ages. Old-Meets-New Wine Dinner in The Cloister Wine Cellar, 6:30-9:30 p.m.––Enjoy a five-course dinner featuring classic culinary techniques infused with New-World flavors paired with Old-World wines. $375/person. Reservations required.

Monday, December 31INew Year’s Eve 5K Run at the Beach Club, 8:30 a.m. Run or walk your way to great health, fitness, and well-being. Participants meet at Beach Club entrance. Check-in time begins Sunday, December 30 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Fitness Center or 7:30 a.m. at the Beach Club on day of race. Pre-registration $45/person, $55/day of registration. T-shirt and breakfast included. Reservations required.

New Year’s Eve Access To enhance the New Year’s Eve experience for members,

guests of members, and resort guests, access to all Sea Island celebrations will be available only to ticket holders and those

with dining reservations.

The Cloister

Restaurant Dining: Restaurant dining at Tavola, the Georgian Room, and River Bar is open to families of all ages. Dining reservations are required. Please note that after 5 p.m., jacket and tie are required, black tie recommended. Families who wish to continue the celebration after dining in one of The Cloister restaurants are invited to join the party at the Beach Club at no additional entry cost. Families, when checking-in for your dining reservations, please inform the host stand if you are planning to visit the Beach Club after dinner so proper credentials can be distributed.

Special Events: After 5 p.m. special celebrations including “Party Under the Stars” on the Black Banks Terrace, “Party Central” in the Ballroom, and public areas such as the Colonial Lounge, will be available only to those 21 years of age and older. Reservations required for “An Elegant Dinner Celebration” in the Mizner Ballroom, and “Champagne Dinner” in the Clubroom. Jacket and tie are required, black tie recommended.

Complimentary New Year’s Eve tickets will be provided for: • Sea Island Club members and guests of members who are 21 years of age or older, with restaurant or special event dining reservations at The Cloister. • Resort Guests (based on lodging reservation) upon check-in. Tickets are $50/person for: • Sea Island Club members and guests of members who do not have restaurant or special event dining reservations. Limit ten per Sea Island Club member account. Beginning December 29, New Year’s Eve tickets will be $100/person.

How to Get Tickets • Sea Island Club members may purchase tickets for celebrations at The Cloister in advance by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or by calling Member Reservations at 912-634-4444 as early as November 5. Tickets will be charged at the time of booking and are non-refundable. They may also be purchased on New Year’s Eve in the Spanish Lounge beginning at 11 a.m. Redeeming Tickets Tickets must be redeemed for wristbands at The Cloister Spanish Lounge on New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for those celebrating the holiday at The Cloister. Wristbands may not be picked up in advance of New Year’s Eve for those members 21+ years of age or older. Wristbands must be worn by 5 p.m. for access to dining and celebrations at The Cloister.

The Beach Club

A fun-filled family celebration awaits all who have made reservations for the ultra-casual “New Year’s Eve Beach Club Celebration” or those who have dined at The Cloister. Reservations for the “New Year’s Eve Beach Club Celebration” and Beach Club access are required.

The Lodge

A perfect spot for those looking for an elegant and sophisticated evening. Dining at the Oak Room and Colt & Alison will be available along with a 6-piece band in The Lodge Living Room. Restaurant reservations are required, wristbands are not a requirement at The Lodge on New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve Transportation For Resort Guests and Sea Island Club Members—

Complimentary shuttles will run continuous loops between The Cloister, The Lodge, and Retreat between

5 p.m.-3 a.m. For Cottage Guests and Sea Island residents—

Transportation will run continuous loops down Sea Island Drive, stopping every 5th street. Loops will run between

5 p.m.-3 a.m.

New Year’s Eve Attire Wondering what to wear to your New Year’s Eve event? In keeping with the traditional Sea Island

holiday dress code, each New Year’s Eve event has been designated with specific dress requirements. Please refer to each event’s description for appropriate indication.

Holiday Cancellation Policy

All events and activities (including Yacht Club, Fitness, Tennis, Spa, Golf, Shooting School, Camp Cloister, and Equestrian) require a

48-hour notice of cancellation. Failure to cancel within the noted time frame will result in a $25/person charge. Equestrian will be charged the full cost of the activity. All no-show reservations, that are not cancelled, will

be charged the full rate of the event or activity.

Bingo no-show reservations and cancellations within 48 hours will be charged $50/person.

Broadfield requires cancellations 72 hours prior to activity. Broadfield cancellations within 72 hours will be charged the

full cost of the activity.

Restaurant Dining requires cancellations to be made 6 hours prior to reservation. Restaurant Dining no-show reservations or cancellations within 6 hours will be charged $50/person. Restaurant reservations will be honored for a maximum of 15 minutes after the reserved time. After

the additional 15 minutes have passed, the table will be released and your party will be placed on the list to be seated at the next available table.

Special Holiday Dining Events requires cancellations to be made 24 hours prior to reservations. For Special Holiday Dining Events, no-show reservations or cancellations within 24 hours will be charged

full price.

Tax and Service Charge may be added to most Activities and Special Holiday Dining Events.
