With Porsche Connect your smartphone, smartwatch, and car unite to form a mobilenetwork.
Calling up vehicle data and managing vehicle functions viasmartphone or smartwatch has been possible with Porschesince the Car Connect app was introduced in the 918 Spyder.Now, with the new Panamera, a much more expansivegeneration of digital communication is coming to the market:Porsche Connect. This system offers an enormous spectrumof interactive features, apps, and services. It connects all newPorsche models–from the 718 Cayman to the Panamera–withthe World Wide Web.
The Porsche Connect equipment package will be offered intwo forms: Connect and Connect Plus. Connect is available asan option for the 718 models and the Macan, and includes asmartphone tray for optimized cell phone reception, as well asApple CarPlay and Porsche Car Connect apps. Car Connectfunctions include remote and e-mobility services (such ascalling up vehicle information and remote control of somevehicle functions), safety services (breakdown and emergencyassistance), and security services (vehicle localization in caseof theft, owner notification, and an alarm center).
The Connect Plus equipment package is standard in the 911and the new Panamera. Porsche offers this upgrade as anoption for the 718 models, the Macan, and the Cayenne.Connect Plus expands the spectrum of the Connect packageto include an LTE telephone module, a Wi-Fi hotspot, andcountless navigation and infotainment services both in thevehicle and for smartphones. In China and Japan, Porschealso offers a concierge service.
One particular highlight of the Connect Plus option is thePorsche Connect app–available free of charge in the Googleand Apple app stores under the name “PCM Connect.” Withthe Porsche Connect app, it is possible to search for a
navigation destination before the start of the trip by usingGoogle via your smartphone, then to save it and transfer it tothe Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system.Even calendar entries with stored addresses can be chosenas destinations. Smartphone photos associated with GPSdata can be entered as navigation destinations as well.
The Connect app enables the new Porsche models to offer apractically unlimited selection of Internet radio stations andstreaming music, thanks to third-party providers such asradio.net and Napster. Numerous app functions, in particularlast mile navigation, can be operated via the Apple Watch.The range of apps in PCM includes weather, charging stationsfor the e-hybrid models, gas prices, parking space information,flight information, and news. The dictate message and Twitterfunctions open additional communication channels via voicecommand. The user can configure and activate the servicesthat he or she uses at any time through the Porsche ConnectPortal and the Porsche Connect Store. For example, the usercan add navigation destinations on a laptop and subsequentlyhave these available and at the ready in his or her car. In thisand so many other ways, driving pleasure in a Porsche hasjust become even smarter.

Porsche Customers Most Satisfied Overall, Says J.D. Power Satisfaction Study
The Porsche brand has ranked highest among all nameplates,according to the latest J.D. Power 2016 U.S. SalesSatisfaction Index (SSI) Study. The brand also placed higherthan all other luxury manufacturers for the second consecutiveyear. Porsche improved upon its 2015 standing by 72 pointsto capture the overall ranking for the second time in the30-year history of the SSI Study.
The SSI Study measures satisfaction with the salesexperience among new-vehicle buyers and rejecters - thosewho shop a dealership and purchase elsewhere. Buyersatisfaction is based on four measures: working out the deal(25%); salesperson (19%); delivery process (16%); and facility(15%). Porsche ranked highest among all automotive brandsacross all four categories. Rejecter satisfaction is based onfive measures: salesperson (10%); fairness of price (4%);experience negotiating (4%); facility (3%); and variety ofinventory (3%). Porsche improved this year in the areas ofprice, facility and inventory.

The 2016 SSI Study is based on responses from 28,979buyers who purchased or leased their new vehicle in April orMay 2016. The study is a comprehensive analysis of the new-vehicle shopping and purchasing experience and measurescustomer satisfaction at U.S. dealerships.
