Winter is fast approaching, and we all need to
start getting ready! Here are some resources
that you may find useful in preparing for the
coming inclement weather.
Driving in Snow and Ice
Here are some great tips on how to safely
operate a vehicle if you must drive in bad
weather!
Winterize Your Car
Have questions about what you should carry in
your vehicle? Or what to do if stranded?
Read this article and find out!
Naval Base Kitsap : Base Conditions
Want to know if there are gates or roads closed
on NBK after or during a storm? Check this
website!
Kitsap Department of Emergency
Management
If you have questions about preparedness,
emergency response in Kitsap County, or the
locations of emergency warming shelters and
etc., this is a website you need to visit!
Don’t forget to set one of your radio station
presets to AM 1610!
In the event of severe weather, base
information regarding delays, road closures, or
gate closures will be broadcasted on this
station! This is especially valuable if you have
no power!
Happy Birthday!
