This Newsletter will be our last for this year. The Christmas period is upon us. A number of seminarians will go home this year to spend time with their families and communities whilst some will remain here in Australia. We will have a number of young men coming to complete some odd jobs filling our time up until Christmas. We can say that is has been a beautiful year. Here is a list of the Highlights for 2012. REDEMPTORIS MATER SYDNEY HIGHLIGHTS 2012 Fr Adrian arrives to Sydney to begin his mission as Vice Rector of the seminary. Matthias, Anthony, Zjelko, Camilo, Francisco and Andres begin their formation as seminarians. Martin, Josephine, Leila, Helen and Janina begin their year of voluntary work for the seminary. 26 Feb: Cardinal George Pell Solemnly blesses the new seminary buildings. Pagewood Residence is demolished. 27 Feb: Wal Glynn wins on Hot Seat and gives winnings to the seminary. 4 Mar: The Italian musical “Forza Venite Gente” is presented at Earlwood with seminarians acting out the roles of the friars. 4 Aug: Ordination to the priesthood at St Mary’s Cathedral of Pierluigi, Pasquale, Allan, and Norwin 2 Sept: Seminary organizes the Video Presentation of the moving Symphony, “The Suffering of the Innocents”. 14 Sept: Fund-Raising Spanish Fiesta in the seminary with guest cook Miguel Maestre. 16 Sept: Seminary is given five new vocations for 2013 at PSG. (India, Colombia, Brazil) 11 Nov Seminary holds its first Open Day for local neighbours and parishioners. CHRISTMAS NEWS On the back you will find the photos of our seminarians as we stand at the end of 2012. Moises made an unexpected return home to the Dominican Republic as his father had a fall and soon after passed into Eternal Life. We hope to see him back next year. Meanwhile, Anderson & Rafael have returned home after their first 2 years of seminary life for Christmas holidays. Getulio has opted to save his ticket for WYD Rio next year. The balance of seminarians will be remaining dispersed in various parts of Australia, serving, relaxing and sharing their lives. Fr Adrian too is due to visit his family in Uruguay over Christmas before beginning his new year with us in January next. All this leads to introduce the attached SOS form. We are still in need for some of these tickets. I appeal to your generosity and possibilities to help us at this late stage of the year. This Newsletter will be our last for this year. The Christmas

Some seminarians have return tickets provided bytheir family and community.Most can only go home if the seminary is able to pay for their tickets.

We try to send our seminarians home every 2 years to visit their families.
