Volunteers are needed to work in the elementary school libraries at Coyote Springs, Humboldt, and Liberty Traditional School In school and after school tutors are needed at all Middle Schools as part of the GEAR UP Program. Training will be provided. Volunteers are needed to facilitate CHARACTER COUNTS! sessions at Granville Elementary 2X per month. Training provided. Did you know that the Humboldt Unified School District has a Family Resource Center available to families? Pam Van Driel is the Family Resource Coordinator and Homeless Liaison for the HUSD District. The Center provides free clothing, shoes and school supplies to the general public as well as HUSD families (all items are donated by community members, churches and various organizations). Referrals are available to resources in the community. They also provide referrals to agencies that may offer assistance with rent, and/or utilities, and low income housing information. The Family Resource Center is located at the HUSD District Office at 6411 N. Robert Road, Prescott Valley - in building 400, room 422 - across from Transportation, just east of the North parking lot. The Center is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Please call the Family Resource Center for referrals, information, and support at (928) 759-5104. They are here for you! THE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER WELCOMES DONATIONS OF CLEAN, GENTLY-USED CHILDREN'S CLOTHING AND ANY JEANS. DONATIONS CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS. We are looking for Volunteers who are willing to be contacted for short-term projects at the Family Resource Center. For example - When a large clothing donation is received, a Volunteer is needed for 3-4 hours to help with sorting and labeling clothes.
