2012 George Strait Tour Dates Announced Special Guest Martina McBride Joins King George On Tour

Nashville, TN (October 12, 2011) – January 2012 begins a new year and a new tour for Superstar George Strait. The King of Coun-try kicks off his 2012 tour January 27th in Lafayette, Louisiana and to date, the tour itinerary includes stops in Louisiana, Geor-gia, Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma, Nevada, Utah and Kansas. The February 4th Las Vegas appearance will go on sale Saturday, October 29th with other ticket on-sale dates announced soon. Year after year, night after night, when it comes to showing fans a good time whether it’s on the road or on the radio, Strait always delivers the kind of country music fans nationwide hunger for. This year he’s in-vited another award-winning country music superstar to join him on stage – Martina McBride. “I love Martina. Tickets Sell Out For The 30th Annual GSTRC

San Antonio, TX---It didn’t take long for the tickets to be snapped up for the 30th Annual George Strait Team Roping Classic. The event, which will be held at the San Antonio Rose Palace on March 9th & 10th of 2012, was sold out again in less than a day as fans grabbed them up at a record pace. Tickets for the event will be mailed out to fans the first week of February. The 2012 GSTRC will be sponsored by Cavender Chevrolet of Boerne, TX, Bruton Trailers, Wayne Wright Lawyers, Brake Check, Bill Millers BBQ, Tractor Supply Company, Capital Farm Credit, Cactus Ropes, Wrangler, Justin Boots, Classic Ropes, Hill Country/Kioti Tractors, Resis-tol Hats, Frost Bank, LiftMaster and Bar G Feedyard. 500 teams competed in last year’s event with the top 50 qualifiers moving on the finals Saturday morning. The qualifying round was broken down into groups of 50. The Top 5 fastest times from each round moved on to the select 50 for Saturday morning. Last year was the first time the qualifying format was used. Roper raved about it because it resulted in them com-

peting against only 49 other ropers versus hundreds at a time. The 2011 winners were David Key and Jade Corkill. Each won a 2011 Chevy Sil-verado Dually pick-up from Cavender Chev-

rolet of Boerne, TX and a Strait X-treme 3-horse trailer from Bruton Trailers. In addition, each roper drove off with $87,300 in cash. In addition to the prizes, ropers earned a total of $522,500 in cash awards.

Nashville, TN---The Christmas Holiday season is in full swing and fans are buying Christmas gifts already. The George Strait Fan Club wants all of George’s fans to be aware of the shipping and office hours for the holiday season. UPS handles most of our shipping but some of it is done through US Mail. With Christmas being on a Sunday this year, that means that UPS last delivery day before Christmas will be Friday, Dec. 23rd. Please take into consideration that increased time may be needed to get your order to its loca-

tion. UPS and the postal service recommend that orders be shipped by Dec. 14th to guar-antee arrival by Christmas. We also suggest that, even though we offer overnight and second day delivery, the costs are signifi-cantly higher. We want to do everything we can to make sure that your gifts arrive before Christmas. The George Strait Fan Club will close for the holidays at the end of business on Dec. 21st. We will make every effort to get all orders placed before 8am on that day shipped out before we close. Any orders

received after that time will not be shipped until after the Fan Club reopens on Jan. 2nd. Anita’s Notes Welcome to the end of the year and to the beginning of the New Year issue of Strait Talk. What a year! George and his Ace in the Hole Band were so busy in January of this year thru mid-April touring with Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack. What a blast! The 29th Annual GSTRC was sold out again and the world class ropers showed everyone their great skills as David Key and Jade Corkill rode away with the 2011 Championship. As the year continued on, George released his new CD, “Here For A Good Time” which debuted at #1 on the Country charts. The first single was the title track from the CD and became his 58th career #1 record. In addition to the new CD, MCA/Universal released two Icon CD’s which were repackages of many of his greatest hits. Our thanks to all of the fans who rushed right out and bought it. We all appreci-ate you very much. As we conclude this year and look forward to the new one coming up, we need to keep new and current members updated on some of our procedures. The Strait Talk magazine comes out 4 times a year. We have email and mail mem-berships. If you are an email member, you receive everything by email including the news-letter and all membership documents. Email members must download and print all of their documents. If you are a mail member, you receive a hard copy of the newsletter and all membership documents by mail. In addition, if we have a current email address for you, we send your newsletter by mail as well so you can receive it at the same time as email members. Fan club members are also notified by email about tour date pre-sales for tickets. You must use your Username and Password in order to

purchase tickets, unless the email specifies another process. In case you forget your Username and Password, they are printed at the bottom of each notification. Please make sure that we have your current email address or you will not get your notification. They cannot be resent! Also, please make sure your member-ship is current. We also have heard from many people who had let their memberships lapse and wanted to renew at the last moment. Please note that all memberships, new and renewals, must be current and in good-standing for at least seven (7) days to be valid. New member-ships and renewals purchased within seven (7) days of the pre-sale dates are not eligible for the pre-sales. This is the same procedure we have had for many years. All ticketing agencies must have the membership list in hand for 7 days prior to the pre-sales. Also, please make sure that the following email addresses are in your contacts so your internet service does not block them. They are customerservice@georgestrait-fans.com and mailer06@georgestraitfans.com. Many folks who receive their emails at work can be blocked by spam filters if these address-es are not in your contacts. We want to do everything we can to make sure that you receive all the information as soon as possible. Hopefully this will help! With the Holiday’s approaching fast & furious, we are suggesting that anyone placing orders for Christmas gift giving, please use a physical address when placing their order. We ship most items by UPS and they require physical addresses to deliver and can be tracked. All orders to PO Boxes must be shipped by USPS and can take longer. All orders are downloaded each weekday morning. After the orders are downloaded, we pull the merchandise that is in stock and ship that day. If the item you have ordered is back-ordered, it will not give you a tracking number. If you ordered several items and you receive your package with something, please check the column that says shipped or not shipped. Some items can be backordered and take up to 2 weeks to arrive back in stock, processed and shipped out. We will be shipping merchandise from our warehouse up to Dec. 21st. The office and warehouse will be closed for the Holidays from Dec. 22nd until January 2nd.
