Summary of September Board

MeetingThe board continues to receive complaints

about deed restriction violations. Letters will be sent to those about who complaints were made and future newsletter articles will address the issue of deed restrictions.

Plans and bids for the front entrance landscaping and electrical maintenance/improvements were discussed. It was noted that plants need to be put in soon.

The necessary manpower for the new neighbor greeter baskets is in place. There was discussion about ways to identify new neighbors.

It was decided that a summary of board meeting minutes would be published in the monthly newsletter.

CCoBLNA 2009 Christmas Decorations & Lights Contest Make sure you have your lights and decorations up so your neighbors have a chance to enjoy your lights throughout the Christmas season and then select their favorites. Complete your ballots and deposit them in the mail box by the Marquee at the front park by December 20th at 5:00 o’clock p.m. The ballots will then be tallied and the winners’ addresses posted on the marquee. Good luck and thank you to all who participate !

Other easy ways of supporting your neighborhood schools is shopping.

Office Depot – ask the cashier to donate 5% of your purchases.Randalls – sign up to have 1% of your purchases donated.Target – with your Target card 1% of your purchases is donated.

Christmas is...

something different to everyone. What is it to you?We invite you to celebrate with us this year.

December 10th (Band), December 15th (Covington Choir) and December 17th (Covington Orchestra).

Mama Fu’s in Southpark Meadows wants to support Covington. They will donate a percentage of their profits to our school! Eat there on the first Wednesday of each month. When you order, just tell them that you’re there to support Covington MS. What a great way for our community to support our neighborhood school and have a tasty meal!

Remember there is an easy way our community can support Covington: Donate your old cell phones and used printer cartridges. Properly recycling cell phones and cartridges prevent lead, mercury or cadmium from leaking into our water supply. not only will you be helping the environment, but also the Covington Keyboarding Dept. will earn money for every old cell phone and cartridge you donate. Drop them off at the west office labeled, “Ms. Lunsford/Keyboarding”.December 1, 2009 ..............................Band Tamales Sales BeginsDecember 2, 2009 ...................................................CAC MeetingDecember 3, 2009 ................................................Girls Basketball ...................................................
