Saturday, October 6, area hams met at Lions Lake in Warrensburg. This gathering incorporated a picnic and swap meet. Although not officially a club yet this became the first club activity.

The group met again in November at the Country Kitchen in Warrensburg. This meeting was more a social gathering.

A fourth meeting was held in December at the University Inn located in the Best Western Motel in Warrensburg. The club was formally established and the first officers were appointed.

So began the new Warrensburg Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc.
