Course Presentations and Goals
The “SAP on IBM Z University Days” training includes chapters from the SAP ADM530
class, the Performance & Tuning class, DBA cockpit, additional information from zTiger
offerings and IBM/SAP Dev Labs news.
Understand how to prepare the IBM Db2 for z/OS platform to run SAP NetWeaver and other
SAP components.
Administer Db2 for z/OS in a SAP environment using tools within the SAP system and the
database tools.
Develop and Implement appropriate database backup and recovery strategies.
Detect performance bottlenecks and perform basic tuning on the database.
Understand the basics of SAP on IBM Z capacity planning
and IBM worldwide support offers.
Explore the latest technology enhancements, discuss with
IT Architects infrastructure solution options.

Other Details: How to get there by car / Parking
• A5 direction Basel/Darmstadt, take exit 39 – Walldorf/Wiesloch towards
Walldorf/Wiesloch/Reilingen/Hockenheim
• Turn left onto B291 and continue onto L723 Richtung Wiesloch/Walldorf/Sinsheim
• Take exit Walldorf Sued Zufahrt 2 (turn right onto Kopernikusstrasse)
• Take the 2nd right onto Altrottstrasse

• A81 direction Heilbronn stay left at the interchange 9-Kreuz Weinsberg and follow the

• Take a right onto L723, then take a left onto Gutenbergstraße
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit (Altrottstrasse)
Where to park:
• The Partner-Port is the building with the round tower
• Visitor parking is available next to the building, or on the 4th floor in the car park on the
opposite. Therefore, just ring the bell and mention, that you are here for IBM

• Exit the train at the station Wiesloch-Walldorf

• Either take a taxi or the bus no. 707 (direction Walldorf, SAP Campus)
• Exit at the station HDM Haupteingang (2nd stop)
• Walking distance about 10 minutes: Continue walking in the same direction
as the bus was travelling. Pass the roundabout and go straight into
Altrottstrasse. The Partner-Port building (the building with the round tower) is
situated at the end of the street on the right hand side, opposite the Partner-Port
parking garage
