GEA Westfalia Separator

The decanter UCD 205 skid unit is a

mobile station for dewatering municipal

and industrial waste water sludges.

The plug and play design means that the

unit can be connected fast on-site and it

is already equipped with all required com-

ponents at the factory:

Flocculent station

Control cabinet

Feed pump

Solids conveyance facility

Water supply including

flushing device

The components are installed on a stain-

less steel skid so that the unit can be easily

transported from site to site. Operation is

fully automatic – continuous supervision

by operating personnel is not necessary.

On account of its versatility, the skid unit

can be used for a broad spectrum of sludge

types. The maximum throughput capacity

is around 4 m3 per hour.

Decanter UCD 205The decanter is a continuously operating

solid-wall scroll centrifuge. The clarified

liquid discharges under gravity into a

catcher and flows off without pressure.

The decanter bowl is driven by a low-noise

three-phase AC motor; power transmis-

sion is via V-belts. A bowl speed adjust-

ment facility can be optionally selected.

With the 2-gear drive, the differential

speed is regulated solids-dependently to

ensure constant dewatering in the event of

changing feed concentrations and product

fluctuations.

All parts of the decanter that come in con-

tact with the product are made of stain-

less CrNiMo steel. The gaskets are made

of NBR (Perbunan).

FeedThe product is fed to the machine via an

adjustable eccentric screw pump. Volume

measurement is by means of a magnetic

inductive flowmeter for the sludge feed. A

sampling facility is installed.

Flocculent stationThe flocculent treatment station is

designed for liquid concentrate. The sta-

tion is equipped with a dilution water

facility and a flowmeter.

WaterThe skid unit is equipped with a central

water supply system with pressure reduc-

er for flush water that is controlled by a

solenoid valve. A water connection with

hose for cleaning is likewise installed.

Solids conveyanceTo transport the discharged solids, the skid

unit is equipped with a screw conveyer,

alternatively 3 or 4 m long. The screw

conveyor features a residual water out-

let / flush connection and can be disman-

tled for transporting the mobile station.

The decanter waterMaster CF 4000 from

GEA Westfalia Separator Group is a con-

tinuously operating centrifuge with hori-

zontal solid-wall bowl developed specifi-

cally for the requirements of dewatering

and thickening industrial and municipal

sewage sludges. The frame is of open

design with gravity discharge of the

clarified phase.

made of stainless CrNiMo steel

• Deep pond design: ratio solids

discharge to bowl inner diameter

torque, even with fluctuating feed

differential speed due to the

frequency-controlled variable
