Dear Wilson Families:

I can’t believe another school year is already coming

to a close. Thanks to all our Wilson teachers, parents,

friends, volunteers, and PTA members who have

staffed, planned, supported, and implemented

wonderful programs and services throughout the

school year.

I truly enjoy being principal here at Wilson and I

appreciate the opportunity to work with awesome

parents and teachers. But it’s the students who make

my day every day!

We are proud of the academic growth all of our

students have met this year which demonstrates the

continuous hard work of our teachers and students.

We’ve had many successes this year and look forward

to our Summer School Program along with our planning

for next year.

We wish our 5th graders success as they move on to

the Intermediate schools.

And we wish all of our Wilson families a safe and

fun-filled summer!

Teacher Assignments

Wilson School is committed to providing the best educational environment for all students. Due to fluctuations in summer enrollments, student/teacher

assignments will not be finalized until the third Friday in September. We may need to reconfigure grade levels to best utilize

our resources. Again, our goal is to create the best learning environment

possible for your child.

Fourth Quarter REPORTS CARDS

Report cards will be sent home on

Thursday, June 8th.

Students will receive their fourth quarter report

card indicating their progress throughout the

2016-2017 school year. The report card will also

indicate their promotion into the next grade level.

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Gottinger with any

questions or concerns.

On Thursday, June 8th, we will hold our annual 5th Grade Awards Day Program.

This event honors our Wilson students for their achievements and academic

accomplishments. Parents are invited to observe this awards program which will be

attended by our fourth and fifth graders.

Awards Program will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the gym

Presidential Academic Fitness

Wilson School will again be participating in the Presidential Academic Fitness Awards at the

5th Grade Awards Day Program on June 8th.

These awards are given to 5th grade students based on their academic ability and achievement

throughout their elementary years. Pins, letters and certificates are awarded at this ceremony.

MEDICATION PICK-UP

If your child has medication

(prescription or non-prescription) in

the school office, please pick it up

on or before the last day of school,

June 8th. Meds can only be

picked up by a parent or guardian.

NO meds will be sent

home with students.

If they are not picked

up by June 8th, they

will be properly

disposed of.

Lost & Found - Last Chance…

Our lost and found box is overflowing with

clothes, mittens, hats, boots, shoes, lunch

boxes…again!

We will be emptying it on

the last day of school and

donating it to charity. If you

are missing something,

please check the box!

Summer Playground Program

The FREE fun, healthy and active summer playground programs are supervised during the hours

listed below. Participation in the summer playground program is on a drop in basis and children are

allowed to come and go as they choose. A safe and supervised environment will be provided

however, it should not be considered as a child care alternative. Program meets daily Monday-

Friday from June 12th-August 4th (rain or shine). In addition to the regularly scheduled daily

activities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in special events and filed trips for a

nominal fee.
