He is by Galoubet A – a 173cms Selle Francais stallion who ranked 3rd on the World Breeding Standings in 2001. Galoubet himself started to compete internationally as a 7 year old where his spectacular jump won him a legion of fans. NOTE OF STALLION PEDIGREE: Silvano is by Corland and international showjumping stallion who is by the world renowned Cor de la Bryere now ranked 18th in the world breeding rankings. Corland’s dam is from one of the most famous mare lines in Holstein beginning with Retina who won the Hamburg derby twice. Corland has won and placed in over 15 international grand prix, was 2nd in the Sires of the World 1999 and his placing and winning in the European finals in 2001 showed him as belonging to the category of the best in the world. Corland has sons and daughters winning all over the world. He also has several approved sons. Dam Ganna is a Prestatie Predicate mare – this is the top award a mare can receive in Holland.

NOTE OF STALLIONS PERFORMANCE: With a jumping index higher than most international stallions he is proving himself to be one of the best young stallions. As a 4YO Silvano topped the Irish showjumping rankings achieving the highest points of any 4YO in that year. He went on to compete

lightly as a 5 year old due to stud commitments nevertheless he managed to win or place in many important classes including Cavan’s spring finals and also the Cavan Classic the biggest class for 5YO in Ireland. Silvano was fully approved by the IHB in 2004 following a magnificent display of jumping by him in the winter final inspection. However with very bad luck he had a most serious injury 2 days after being approved. This sidelined him for 2 years but he has now recommenced his career. He has been in Holland with Kristian Johannesson and has performed very well in competition already attending and placing several times including the international show in Veendam.

PERFORMANCE OF PROGENY OF STALLION: He breeds presence, beauty movement, athletic ability, scope, technique and carefulness. With his first crop born in 2003, his 3YO’s have show exceptional talent already. They are proving easy to handle, quiet, trainable straightforward types who enjoy working and enjoy people. They all possess great movement, are athletic and have fantastic temperaments. 2 went forward for the elite loose jumping in Cavan where they both qualified for the finals and one of the, a gelding was placed. Another youngster who has been in the ribbons all of 2006 is Carnside Hoity Toity who has claimed almost all 2YO classes in N Ireland in 2006 including Champion Filly at Castwellan, Champion Filly at Clogher Valley, overall Young Stock Champion at and became Reserve Champion of the show. She won her class and was the Reserve Champion Filly at Balmoral.
