18th May 2019 marked a momentous day in the school's calendar for two reasons. Firstly, the new core

body members and prefectorial body for the academic session 2019-20 took oath of the office and

secondly, the meritorious students received the awards for excellence not only in academics but also in

many other fields. The event was marked with the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Faiyaz Dilbar, a

renowned writer and director of Indian cinema and a famous poet of Urdu and Kashmiri languages. The

programme also witnessed the presence of Ms. Shalini Singh, the President of Tapindu Educational

Society. The Principal, Ms. Renu Sharma extended a warm welcome to the guests and urged them to

foster a meaningful relationship with the school and its stake holders. The new stake holders, in the

oath ceremony promised to uphold the ethos of the school. This was followed by Award Ceremony

which intended to recognize and promote talented students. The guests were enthralled by beautiful

classical, folk and western dances. The ceremony concluded with vote of thanks proposed by the Head Boy of the school.

On 27th April, a workshop on Business Studies for Class XII was

organized in Ch. Chabildas School. Ms. Renu Gupta, Business

Studies faculty attended this workshop. The workshop was

presided over by an eminent author of Business Studies, Mr. G.S.

Alag. The main objective of this workshop is to implement effective teaching technique with the students in the class.

On 26th April, a workshop on stress management was

organized in Queen's Marry Public School. Ms. Kalpana, Ms

Shivani and Mr Nitin Bagga attended this workshop. The

workshop was presided over by an eminent psychologist Ms

Geetanjali Kumar The main objective of this workshop was to

discuss the stress related issues among various age groups,

she told methods to reduce stress and emphasized on seeking the root cause of stress and ways to tackle it.

On 25th May, 3 faculties of the school, Ms. Amita Agarwal, Ms.

Priya Verma and Mr. Ankur Goyal attended one day Capacity

Building Programme on 'Gender Sensitivity'. The session

conducted by CBSE at Deep Memorial Public School,

Ghaziabad saw the participation of many schools of the region.

The training programme aimed to equip the participants to

understand the gender sensitization which is a need to deal with

gender equality issues. The session also emphasized on gender empowerment.

On 6th and 7th May, Ms. Shefali and Ms. Manisha Gupta

attended a two day workshop on 'The Awakened Citizen

Programme'. The workshop which was organized by

Ramakrishna Paramhans Mission aimed at training the teachers

to infuse ethical standard in the students so that they can grow up to become responsible citizens.

On 11th May 2019 Pidilite Industry had organized an

advanced craft workshop. Ms SUNITA PRASAD conducted

the workshop at DAV school in Rajendra Nagar. Ms

Manisha gupta and Ms. Ruchi Singh from IPS pratap vihar

attended the workshop. Through this workshop they got an

exposure to the latest techniques and trends in craft category.

On 28th June, Science faculty Ms. Rajni Pachauri attended one day STEM workshop which was conducted by CBSE at DPS Noida. STEM is a curriculum based programme on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines ie. science, technology, engineering and mathematics with an interdisciplinary approach. Moreover, STEM integrates all the subjects into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real world application. The workshop turned out to be a great learning experience.

On 30th June, CTF organized felicitation programmeAbhinandan' to honour the remarkable achievements of the meritorious students of Commerce stream. Our student Ananya Gupta of XII standard proved her academic acumen among the 50 toppers of the said stream across NCR. Two faculties of the school, Ms. RenuGupta of Business Studies and Mr. Nitin Bagga of Accountancy were also felicitated by the organization.

A workshop was conducted on 29th June , on the following subjects "Early intervention for common Emotional , Behavioural and learning disorders" and Effective implementation of POCSO in school. It was conducted on behalf of Expression India by Ms Rekha Chauhan, TanujaBhardwaj and Eshna Berry. This workshop intended to provide a proactive and comprehensive program to promote a healthy happy and safe environment to encourage child growth.

On 4th May, a workshop on project based learning was

organized at Tagore international School, Greater

Kailash by Ms. Surabhi and Ms Sangeeta of City as

Lab fame. The workshop was attended by Ms Kalpana

and Ms Gursahiba Kaur. The main objective of this

workshop was to discuss how to take up project based

learning, understand the framework and how to conduct city as lab in the school.

Student Enrichment

Menstrual health and Hygiene workshop was organized

at Indirapuram Public School Pratap Vihar by NIINE

Foundation, Ms Adwitya former Ms Teen India discussed the topics associated to Menstruation.

The aim was to create a free open and healthy

environment where no menstruating girl feels marginalized or undignified.

Movies are a source of recreation and extended

learning beyond textbooks. Our students from classes

3rd to 10th were taken to watch movie 'Kesari' in

Movie World on 15th and 16th May. The movie,

Kesari's story has the historical theme based on the

'Battle of Saragarhi' which was fought on 12th

September 1897. It was very informative as well as

entertaining and at the same time, it was an

exhilarating experience for the children to watch the movie with their classmates.

'Yellow, is the color that stands for happiness, intellect and joy'. On 3rd May 2019, Yellow day was celebrated and

Lemonade making activity was conducted for the pre primary section of Indirapuram Public School. The day began with

a fun filled introduction and refreshing Lemonade party. Kids participated in group activities like thumb printing in mango

and beehive. All the classes were decorated with yellow cutouts. Students and teachers were dressed up in different hues and tints of yellow.

On 8th May 2019, the tiny tots of Indirapuram public school pratap vihar visited the school. The children went to different departments of the school. Kids were first taken to principal mam's cabin where they interacted and enjoyed with her. They were very happy to receive toffees from Principal Mam. They went to the library and also visited the music room and enjoyed dancing and singing. They also interacted with other employees of different departments. The purpose of the visit was to makethe kids familiar with the school.

Mother's Day is a special day for all children and mothers as they celebrate the bond of everlasting love and

affection. The children of Pre primary wing of IPS on 9th May 2019 made different types of cards for their mom.

Different cards with vibrant colors and shapes were made, and children greeted their mothers. Everyone was fascinated by the bond of warmth and love.

“Good Manners will open doors that the best education cannot". Keeping this in mind a workshop onGood Manners was conducted by Pre- Primary teachers on 15.5.19. The objective of the workshop was to empower students to cultivate good manners by making right choices. The teachers and students emphasized the importance of five Magic words-Please, Sorry, Thank You, Excuse Me and May I , through an effective play. The skit was followed by beautiful poem which encouraged students to lead an ideal and disciplined life.The workshop was indeed a great learning experience.

Activities like walking on a straight line, zig-zag lines and Hopscotch activity provide numerous opportunities to enhance gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Kids of LKG jumped and walked over a wavy , zig-zag , straight lines and hopped over the alphabets. This was a fun way to explore lines and recognize alphabets in a well integrated manner.

The pre primary wing of the school organized frog race for the UKG kids. The fun game had the kids hopping and jumping to a certain distance. The activity was enjoyed by the kids to the fullest.

On 2nd May 2019 the patriotic jazba among the students of Class I and II under CCA activity was conducted in the

school premises. The students presented themselves as warriors with national flags in their hands. Their command over

the language and confidence was speechless. They spoke on the heros of Pulwama and Kargil attack who laid their lives for the nation.

On 2 May, 2019, the students of classes III-V of

Indirapuram Public School in the form of a CCA Activity on

the topic 'Reclamation of Waste' made some really beautiful

things. They brought used materials from home and

transformed them into beautiful products which can be

further utilized. Little hands and imaginative minds came

together in a creative burst of energy. The values like

preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse etc

were imbibed on the young minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring our environment.

'Words are power, words have power, words could be your

power.' This quote truly justifies the topic of the CCA

Activity 'Shabd - The Taqat' which was conducted on 9th

May 2019. The students from Classes III to V, flawlessly

delivered 6 minutes speeh on any Hindi word of their

choice. The good oratory skills of the kids were appreciated

by everyone present there. The school conducts these kind

of activities to enhance the language skills as well as speaking skills of the students from the very beginning.

Mathematical brain teasers bring out natural

love for numbers in kids. Time to time the

school conducts mathmatics related activities

which develop an aptitude in the students.

Activities like comparison, addition through

number line, ascending and descending with

the help of staircase, ordinal numbers

through flash cards etc. allow the children to fall in love with a complex subject.

The kids of Classes 1 and 2 made Mother's Day card on

8th May, under CCA activity. It was the time for them to

come up with the exact right words to explain how much

their mother means to them. They made beautiful

marvelous cards using various decorative material. It

was really inspirational to watch these easy thought-

starters. Little hands and imaginative minds came

together in a creative burst of energy which was awesome.

An Inter House Chess competition was held in the

school premises on 1st May for the classes from VI

to VIII. The students' ability to choose appropriate

moves made the endgame very interesting. The

competition brought Agni house at no. 1 position,

Prithvi house at second and Akash house at third

respectively. The school conducts Chess Games

because it not only increases the cognitive skills of the children but also makes them sharp and active.

An inter house graffiti competition was held on 1st May. The students from the classes IX to XII participated in the

activity with great enthusiasm .A team of Four students represented each house respectively .The theme for graffiti competition was 'LABOUR’S DAY'.The competition was held to make the students realize about the dignity of labor.

The curriculum integration generates an understanding between different disciplines and their relationship with the real

world, it also increases student learning. Keeping this in mind an inter house activity “TECH CARS – THE TRICKS OF

TRADE” was conducted on 15.05.2019, to help students to develop knowledge, insight, problem solving skills, self -

confidence, efficacy and a passion for learning. Students of all four houses actively participated and showcased their

talent by preparing a comparative analysis sheet of different brands of cars available in the market and then showcased

their selling skills. They were judged on the basis of their presentation skills, knowledge of technical aspects and sales pitch.

Inter house competition was organised on 8th of May, the motive was to

develop innovative solutions with positive contributions to future generations.

The above activity involved the children in making posters on various themes

given to them class wise, based on Sustainable Development Goals , they

came out with fresh ideas and drew it in colourful ways. The second level of

this competition will be in the month of July where in selected students will make model on the same theme

An On-Spot Drawing Competition was held in Indirapuram Public School on 26th April, on the theme 'Healthy India'. The event witnessed the participation of the classes V and VI. The students put forward their thoughts and imagination of Healthy India on canvas.

On 18th May, the school commenced its summer camp, Abhiyakti which saw the participation of many kids. The campers

aquired new skills like painting, dramatization, logo designing, calligraphy, dance and much more. To enhance physical

and mental agility, the camp had many sports and games like chess, cricket etc. The summer camp which allowed the

campers to enjoy in safe and nurturing environment saw its culmination on 30th May. The Principal. Ms. Renu Sharma bid farewell to the campers with her warm wishes and blessings.

House Prefectorial Board introduced themselves in the morning assembly on 30th April. Each house Agni, Akash,

Prithvi and Vayu house captains and other members of prefectorial board promised to serve at their best and perform their duties with full responsibility and dedication.

On 1st May, the school celebrated the ‘International Labour Day’ in the special morning assembly. The students

expressed their gratitude towards the supporting staff through poems and speeches which was followed by a quiz

on Labour Day. The Principal Ms. Renu Sharma, in her address, stated that the importance of the working class

must be acknowledged and their hard work must be appreciated. She also acknowledged the contribution of the

workforce of the school and lauded their hard work. The assembly also witnessed the teacher’s talk which too highlighted the dignity of labour and consistent hard work.

Lingua fiesta German was held in Cambridge school Noida on 26th April. It was an initiative to foster among

school children through collaborative learning. Our German students participated in 3 competitions and secured 2nd position in Graffiti making.

On 27th and 28th April, our students participated in a two day debating tournament, Behes at

Indirapuram Public School, Indirapuram. The students proved their oratory and communication skills.

Many schools of the NCR Region participated, but IPS, Pratap Vihar, proved its mettle. They bagged

runner up trophy and also secured 3rd, 7th and 10th positions respectively as best speakers. They were lauded for their oratory skills.

UP State Swimming Championship, Ridhi Panchal of standard XII

participated in 4x100 meter free style relay and secured bronze medal.

In a very tough competition which had the presence of seasoned

swimmers, she proved her acumen with a very strong performance in the free style relay. The school wishes the best to its young swimmer.

On 24th April, in an inter house competition the students from the classes 6th to 8th proved their artistic and creative acumen in Caption Writing. The students were shown 3 projected images on smart board on which the students wrote the captions. The activity saw a great participation of the students.
