A Message from Sister Sheila Murphy, SSJ [email protected]
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The end of the year is often bittersweet
especially when we become aware of those
who will no longer be part of the Cape
Trinity Catholic Staff next year.
Mrs. Kristine Garvey will be leaving the area
in June as the USCG has transferred her
husband to Monterey, California. Though
Mrs. Garvey has been here only two years
she has become an integral part of our
school. Through the Title 1 Program she
has worked with students who needed
academic support. This year she has taught
several Language Arts Classes in the Middle
School.
Mrs. Garvey brought innovation,
enthusiasm and patience to all the students
she taught. She was a wonderfully flexible
staff member filling in for whatever was
needed. Nothing was ever too much
trouble for her.
We all wish Mrs. Garvey and her family
including her new baby God’s choicest
blessings in their new home. We will miss
her and hope that she keeps in touch and
comes back to visit her many, many friends
at Cape Trinity Catholic.
Sister Sheila

Advancement News Mrs. Julie Roche, Advancement Director
Advancement Reflection
It’s that time of year when we celebrate milestones in closing ceremonies and
graduations. It becomes a great time of reflection and happiness as we watch our
children grow in front of our very eyes! This year in the Roche house we celebrate my
oldest son, Patrick as he graduated from DeSales University with a Bachelor of
Science. Sixteen years of Catholic education flashed before us!
He graduated from St. Ann Regional in 2008, Wildwood Catholic H. S. in 2012 and
now adds the College Diploma to his list of accomplishments.
Were the 16 years of Catholic education worth it? You better believe it. A moral
compass resides in every Catholic School: a community of prayerful support from
every teacher, parent and administrator. Catholic school is different, expectations are
high and support is guaranteed. It’s worth every penny.
So enjoy your child’s milestone, celebrate each moment. Don’t mind me if you see me
with a tissue, 16 years has gone by very fast.

Important Tuition Reduction Information, worth repeating: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Happy New Scrip Year, that is. How much will you spend over the next 12 months? Groceries, gas, clothing, vacations, gifts, home improvements and it goes on and on. What if you could put a percentage of all your spending in an account to be applied to your 2017 - 2018 tuition bill? Just think how less stressful it will be next summer, knowing your tuition bill has been reduced because you did a great majority of your regular spending with CTC Scrip Gift Cards. That is the beauty of the CTC Scrip Gift Card program - you can be earning dollars off your tuition bill on everyday purchases, that you were making anyway, without costing you an extra cent. Using CTC Scrip Gift Cards is also a great way to manage your weekly / monthly budget. If you are not already scrippin', why not start today? If you are scrippin', just a little, why not change your habits and increase where and how you are using CTC Scrip? If you’re ready to take the leap, our program goes beyond the thousand plus plastic cards available. You can reload your plastic cards online. You can order and receive paper gift cards, via email - these ScripNow! gift cards can also be scheduled to be sent as gifts. How cool is that? You can even set up a Presto Pay account so that your payments are automatically deducted from your checking account. Did you know you can manage your gift cards on your smart phone with MyScripWallet? It's not an app, but a mobile web link for your phone. Start today by reading all about the CTC program at http://www.capetrinitycatholic.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=419058&type=d&pREC_ID=915984 There you will find one page lessons on every aspect of using our program. Let me know if you have a problem accessing your account and please do not risk losing track of previously placed orders by setting up a duplicate account. Don't let 12 months of spending happen without earning a tuition reduction. Got questions? Email me at [email protected] and I will do my best to get you answers and get you on your way to a profitable year of scrippin'. See the attached On-Hand Order form and mark your calendar for the last Special Order of the School Year on June 13

Thank you to Sister Sheila and the entire CTC
Community for embracing Abby and our family
throughout her medical journey this past school year.
The support of Abby’s “Project Smile” has been
amazing! She has kept the treasure chest at CHOP
completely full all year and will continue to, over the
summer and fall for sure. She has spread so many
smiles to so many sick children, all because of your
support. Abby’s gift of giving is so contagious. Other
families at CHOP are following in her footsteps. We
were able to turn a very dark day, last May when
Abby was told of her treatment plan, into a year filled
with hope and the true meaning of giving. An
incredibly difficult situation was turned into a
positive one. Abby has never complained of having to
go to CHOP once her project began. Her mission is to
get the toys, crafts, gift cards and fudge to the
children and staff!
Your prayers, kind and encouraging words and
thoughtful dinners have truly meant the world to us.
We are so blessed to have all of you in our lives. We
couldn’t have gotten through this year without you.
Peace and love,
The Frederick Family
