Dear Parents, Each week for reading, I will be sending home a Weekly Fiction Reading Record with five days of reading response items. I expect students to read AT LEAST five times a week. After reading, there are five times for students to write their responses to their reading. At first, this may seem like a daunting task for your child so it’s perfectly normal and ok to guide your child as well help them with how to answer that night’s question. I want your children to end up loving reading as well as thinking deeper and responding to their reading If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to contact me at: [email protected] I know you want your child to be successful and meet the new Common Core State Standards so let’s work together and make this year a year of learning and discovering.
