Dear Parents and Friends,

The generous donation of $40,000 from Emily Hamilton MLA, will be

used to extend our patio area at the back of Atlantis block. This project

will commence on 10th September, weather permitting.

On completion, we will have aluminium picnic benches installed to

create a designated eating area for our Poseidon children during

recess and lunch time. We want to thank our P&C Association for

contributing $7,000 to this project as well.

We are so happy that Perth has been selected to host the AFL Finals

this year and we would like to fundraise with a Footy Colours Day

(Tuesday, 21 September) to purchase more aluminium benches for our

purpose built eating area. These are very expensive to purchase so

we would like to use the funds raised to ensure we have adequate

seating for all our Year 1 to Year 6 students to use during recess and

lunch times.

Footy Colours Day will have students wearing their sport/team/footy

colours to school with some Footy treats for sale at recess time and a

special lunch. Each student took home a lunch order form on Monday

30 August.

Students will not have to contribute a gold coin donation for wearing

their footy/sport colours, but we have organised for our students to

bring some Australian coins from home. We will

have a competition to see which class can make the

longest money chain on the Basketball court or the

undercover area after lunch on the day. All

proceeds will go to our fundraiser.

Our 100 Club raffle launched on 1st June 2021 and the raffle will conclude with a live draw at our Christmas

Assembly on the 3rd December 2021 in the undercover area. Winners will also be notified by phone and

announced in the school newsletter on the 7th December 2021.

Each ticket numbered between 1 – 100 will be sold at $50 per ticket and we have three prizes attached to

this raffle.

First prize: $2,000.00 cash

Second prize: $500.00 cash

Third prize: $50 Woolworths voucher

Tickets can be purchased with CASH ONLY by contacting the front office.

Keyed Up Music

Keyed Up Music will be teaching keyboard and guitar lessons during recess and lunch in Term 4. Lessons may also be available before and after school. Lessons start at $18.65 for groups of four per lesson. Faction Athletics Carnival

We hope to see many families join us for the Faction

Athletics Carnival this year on Friday, 3 September. The P&C

will again be cooking up a storm serving bacon and egg

burgers for brekky and then closer to lunch a sausage sizzle.

The slushy and coffee machines will be going as well as the

sale of soft drinks, water and juice boxes.

Fathers Day Stall The P&C will be again running the Father’s day stall from Tuesday 31st August to Friday 3rd September, just

in time for Father’s Day on Sunday 5th September.

Items from $2 to $10 will be available for students to purchase. We ask students to purchase one item to

start with, so there is enough for everyone. Students will have the opportunity to purchase other items on

Thursday at Recess.

So please help our P&C and school by sending your little ones to school with some spare change so they can

purchase something special for Father’s Day for that special Dad, Step Dad, Granddad or other male role

model in their lives.

Please note that this is a cash only event.

Wednesday September 1st:

10:20 - 11:00 The stall will be open for students that didn't get to

purchase an item on the Tuesday.
