Dear Friends in Christ, This past Monday, I visited Fr. Ken Lill and
took with me a handful of cards that many of you had forwarded to me. Fr. Ken was grinning from ear to ear like only Fr. Ken can. It is amazing how we
can brighten someone’s day by just a kind act of writing a note or sending a card. I suspect there are many people in our lives who
could benefit by just taking time to send a card, making a phone call or stopping by for a visit. Are there any people in your life like that?
I will be visiting Fr. Ken again in a few weeks. Feel free to forward any cards or letters you would like me to take along.
Next Sunday is the feast of St. Francis. St. Francis is the patron
of animals. In that spirit, we will be blessing animals at the end of the school day at St. Joseph on Friday October 2 at 2:00 p.m. on the
school lawn. Then on Sunday, October 4, we will bless the animals at St. Alphonsus at the St. Francis shrine at 1:00 p.m. I am so looking forward to this!
Finally, this weekend on Sunday Sept. 27, the Sorrowful Mother Shrine will be offering a Charismatic Mass and Healing at the Outdoor Pieta Chapel at 12:30 p.m. All are invited to attend! Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Ron
