April to June 2015
DEALS SNAPSHOT
Dear Clients and Associates:
Welcome to the KNAV India Market update for April to June 2015.
A total of US$ 1.65bn invested across 134 transactions in the quarter ended June 2015. Highest traction was in the technology/ internet sector with the Ecommerce sector leading with a total of 30 investments at a value of over US$ 600mn invested. The top grossers being Ola at 400mn, Quikr at 150mn, Food Panda with US$ 100mn, Delhivery at US$ 85mn and Urban Ladder at US$ 50mn.
We have seen hyper growth in several segments like on-demand services in travel, food, real estate, classifieds and payments. Food delivery, grocery delivery and home services were the hottest sectors attracting a lot of investor interest with over 17 investments adding up to an investment value of over US$ 150mn. While home services received a total investment of around 28m and around US$ 125mn was invested in groceries and food delivery over 7 deals.
All in all this was a great quarter for investments.

Of the total 134 deals in this quarter, ecommerce sector (including travel) saw the highest number at 30, with Business Support and Education coming as a close second at 15 and 14 deals respectively.
Out of the total US$ 1.65bn invested, online shopping had the highest investments of around 40% at a value of over US$ 600mn; with the classified sector coming a close second at US$ 150mn in Quikr.com
