JULY - Grilling Month
Suggested Items: kool-Aid, lemonade, ketchup, mustard, relish, pork’n beans, pickles, boxed salad mix or anything
for grilling.
ATTENTION: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please remember when attending Mass to follow the CDC guidelines and Archdiocesan recommendations for our gathering:
Social Distancing Hand Sanitizing
Holy Communion Reception in Hand Wear Mask
Archbishop Jackels described wearing a mask as a practice and expression of our Catholic faith, an act of charity and a personal cross directed toward
the common good. If we follow these practices, more of our parishioners who are at risk and afraid may be encouraged to gather with us again. What a joy it would be to see everyone together again!
If you would like to make a donation towards the flowers at IC, please send your donation to the church office at 404 W. 1st Street, Sumner or put it in an envelope marked “Outdoor Flowers” and place the envelope in the Sunday collection basket. Thank you!

Helping Hands Clothing Closet reopened in early June with our regular hours. We are following all the CDC guidelines with masks required, limiting the number of clients in the Closet at one time, hand sanitizer and en-couraging social distancing. During June we had 108 cli-ent visits and our volunteers gave 42 hours of their time plus many undocumented hours. We do have a good supply of clothing on hand for summer or as you get ready for school this fall. Thank you for all of the dona-tions and to our volunteers for their gift of time. Stay safe and healthy!
The Lighter Side :
A mother and her two sons were heading to the church’s gathering space after Mass when the boys began arguing over who would be first in line to get a doughnut. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.
“If Jesus were here,” she told them, “he would say, ‘Let my brother go first. I can wait.’”
The younger boy turned to his brother and said, “You be Jesus.”
