Storyline/Plot……

My film trailer will be a part of the revenge-thriller genre and will involve one character’s attempt to take revenge on a criminal duo who have attempted to kidnap his best friend as a result of a failed drugs trade worth a significant amount of money, his friend is taken as a result of failure to pay the full amount agreed.

Location……

The location of my film will be mainly within my school as within my school is a series of suitable areas which match my ideas about the surrounding area within my film. These areas also provide me with suitable lighting which allows me to capture the dark mood of the film. There will be shots filmed in the following areas of my school:• Car park• Corridor• Computer room

There are also shots which I aim to film outside of school, these shots will be filmed:• In a nearby alleyway• In my house

Audience….

The likely audience which I have selected for my film trailer are viewers above 15 years of age, my reasoning for this restriction is that I have researched the BBFC guidelines for age restrictions on films and the research has shown that the mild violence and presence of weapons means that I have to implement this restriction.

Editing….

My trailer will consist of many small shots of no more that 2-3 seconds each, during the editing process I will pay particular attention to my shot transitions as they must be fast paced but at the same time, building tension. As the opening shot of my trailer is the last shot of the film, it is important that my shoot transitions reflect flashbacks and give the impression that the shots shown happened before the opening shot. The transition from the institution logo clip at the beginning of the trailer to the first shot of my trailer there will be a slow transition and slow, dark sound to build tension, this will then cut to an action scene of events before, the shot transitions will speed up and so will the style of music.
