Accessories by BARBARUS

From the depths of the Savannah River in Southern USA, comes a BARBARUS Limited Edition Spring collection: “Dead like wood”. The wood material used for the making of this accessory served as dock pilings before adopting its new function as bow tie. Over the years, said wood developed a distinctive character and color in light of being submerged, slowly decomposing in the face of constant water contact. The physical history of the wood material combined with its new function as bow tie, allows for the peculiar to emerge.

The selected wood is carefully crafted through a series of mechanical and hand processes to ensure the highest quality product. The bow tie is complemented with a leather strap and pouch to protect the object from wear over time.

As an accessories brand, BARBARUS is concerned with the creation of covetable objects with a saturated sense of meaning. As a recently conceived entity, it searches for new experiences and materials to mold into the ‘new’.
