When registering for a Distant Learning site you must note the desired site in the Training Officer Block.
Distant learning sites will only be available if a minimum of 5 attendees register for a site. In the event a distant learning does not have the required registrations by the registration end date that site will be closed. Registrants will be contacted and offered an alternate site. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Who should attend: Sworn police officers from the rank of Chief to Police/Sheriff to police officers
and deputies. Active / recently retired chiefs of police teach this course.

Instructor BIO Greg has served in government for over 35 years with a focus in law enforcement and has been instrumental in the change in organizations. He has served in larger and smaller agencies and is one of the few professionals to actually form a new law enforcement agency. He is currently serving as the head of a law enforcement agency. Greg is a nationally known speaker and instructor and focuses on leadership, supervision, internal affairs and problem employees. Greg has also consulted with government agencies nationwide on professional standards, internal affairs and best practices models.

PRESENTS
Nothing is as important to government services as the relationship between law enforcement and the public that is served. Recent inflammatory actions and news stories have had a severe impact and the perception of law enforcement. Agencies and individual employees must understand their role and that every action and statement that is made reflects on the profession as a whole. This training will focus on not only individual employee attitudes and beliefs, but also organizational
concepts that perpetuate a lack of trust with the community with a strong focus on de-escalation techniques. This course is appropriate for sworn police officers from the rank of Chief of Police to police
officers. II. Measurable learning instructional objectives
