DESCRIPTION YORK Sunline 2000 units are convertible single packages with a common footprint cabinet and common roof curb for all 7-1/2 thru 12-1/2 ton sizes. All units have dual compressors with dual independent refrigeration circuits. The units were designed for light commercial applications and can easily be installed on a roof curb, slab, roof jack or frame. All units are self-contained and assembled on rigid full perimeter base rails allowing for 3-way fork lift access and overhead rigging. Every unit is completely charged, wired, piped and tested at the factory to provide for a quick and easy field installation. The units are available in the following configurations: cooling only, cooling with electric heat and cooling with gas heat. Electric heaters are available as field-installed accessories. Both down and side discharge airflows are available without having to swap panels. The installer simply removes the duct covers for the desired configuration. Economizers may be used on either side or down discharge applications with no modifications required. All models include a 1-year limited warranty on the complete unit. Compressors and electric heater elements each carry an additional 4-year warranty. Aluminized steel tubular heat exchangers carry an additional 9-year warranty. FEATURES COMMON FOOTPRINT / COMMON CABINET - All model sizes and configurations share the exact same footprint cabinet - and therefore the same roof curb. You now have the flexibility of setting one curb and, after the internal load has been determined, placing the proper tonnage unit on that curb. You can even decide between gas or electric heat after the curb has been set. HIGH EFFICIENCY - All units have a minimum EER of 8.5. Gas / electric units have electronic spark ignition and power vented combustion with steady state efficiencies as high as 81.0%. These efficiencies exceed all legislated minimum levels and provide low operating costs. CONVERTIBLE AIRFLOW DESIGN - Both the side and bottom duct openings are covered when they leave the factory. If a side supply / side return is desired you simply remove the two side duct covers from the outside of the unit and discard them. If a bottom supply / return is desired you simply remove the two bottom duct covers and discard them. No panel cutting or swapping is required! Convertible airflow design allows maximum field flexibility and minimum inventory. FACTORY INSTALLED OPTIONS - Economizers, and alternate indoor fan motors can be installed at the factory. The economizers are shipped installed and wired. The outdoor air hood needs only to be field assembled and installed. Field labor dollars can be saved by having the components arrive already installed. FIELD INSTALLED ACCESSORIES - Accessories were designed for quick and easy installation. The motorized damper and economizers simply slide in and electrical connections are made by modular plugs. Electric heaters mount easily and knockouts are provided in the internal partitions to connect the elements to the control box single point kit. The 14" high roof curb is shipped knocked down. The roof curb has an insulated deck. Low ambient controls are available to provide stable unit operation at outdoor temperatures down to 0°F. Propane and high altitude kits are also available to cover all gas heating applications. MOTORIZED AIR DAMPER - Includes slide-in/plug-in damper assembly with rainhood and filters. The outdoor air dampers open when the indoor fan motor is energized. Damper is capable of providing 0% thru 100% outdoor return air opening. MANUAL OUTDOOR DAMPER - Provides 0% thru 35% or 0% thru 100% of return air opening (field adjustable). Designed for duct mounted side or bottom supply/return applications. Includes rain hood assembly and filters WIDE RANGE OF INDOOR AIRFLOWS - All indoor fan motors are belt-drive type providing maximum flexibility to handle most airflow requirements. Factory-installed alternate indoor fan motors are available on some models for high static applications. FULL PERIMETER BASE RAILS - The permanently attached base rails provide a solid foundation for the entire unit and protect the unit during shipment. The rails provide fork lift access from 3 sides and rigging holes are also provided so that an overhead crane can be used to place the units on a roof. 530.18-TG2Y (598) Cont’d. ROOF CURB DIMENSIONS - (DCE and DCG - 7-1/2 THRU 12-1/2 TON)

➀ The 4" space between the ducts allows for “jumping” an existing roof joist.

➁ The 41" overall dimension of the ducts allows ductwork penetration between roof joists that are spaced on 48" centers.

NOTE: Ducts can be installed onto the curb from the roof. All electrical and gas line connections can be made inside the curb.

FACTORY INSTALLED OPTIONS

FIELD-INSTALLED ACCESSORIES

ECONOMIZERS: Units equipped with the factory-installedeconomizer option have dampers that are positioned by aspring return, fully modulating damper actuator capable ofintroducing up to 100% outdoor air. As the outdoor air intakedampers open, the return air dampers close. The changeoverfrom mechanical refrigeration to economizer operation isdetermined by a single input electronic enthalpy control or by adual input electronic enthalpy control. Simultaneouscompressor and economizer operation is also possible.Economizer dampers are 2% low leakage type. A barometricrelief damper is shipped in the return air compartment for fieldinstallation. The single enthalpy system contains a sensor that monitors theoutdoor air which automatically operates the damper actuatorallowing the dampers to open or close.

The dual enthalpy system contains a second sensor thatmonitors the return air in addition to monitoring the outdoorair described above for a single enthalpy system. The logicmodule compares these two values and modulates thedampers providing the maximum efficiency of theeconomizer system.

The economizer is completely wired and installed at the factory.Only the outdoor air hood, including its filters, need beassembled and installed in the field.

ALTERNATE INDOOR FAN MOTORS: Larger horsepowermotors are available on most models to handle higher staticpressure applications.

SINGLE INPUT ELECTRONIC ENTHALPY ECONOMIZER -Includes a slide-in / plug-in damper assembly with fullymodulating spring return motor actuator capable of introducingup to 100% outdoor air, one outdoor air electronic enthalpysensor and a rainhood with filters. The rainhood is painted tomatch the basic unit and must be field-assembled beforeinstallation. Economizer dampers are 2% low leakage type.

DUAL INPUT ELECTRONIC ENTHALPY ECONOMIZER -Includes the same damper system and rainhood with filters asdescribed for a single enthalpy economizer above except thisaccessory contains two enthalpy sensors. It uses a differentialenthalpy control that compares the outdoor air versus the returnair. The logic module then optimizes the economizer operationfor additional savings over the single input economizer.

MOTORIZED AIR DAMPER - Includes slide-in / plug-in damperassembly with rainhood and filters. The outdoor air dampersopen when the indoor fan motor is energized. Damper capableof providing 0% thru 100% of outdoor return air opening.

MANUAL OUTDOOR DAMPER - Provides 0% thru 35% or 0%thru 100% of outdoor return air opening (field adjustable).Designed for duct mounted side or bottom supply/returnapplications. includes both hood assembly and filters.

ELECTRIC HEATERS - Include nickel chromium elements, aterminal block, fuses (where required by UL), all the necessaryconnectors and hardware. All heaters utilize single point powersupply hookup. Capacities of 9, 18, 24, 36 and 54 KW heatingare available.

FUSE BLOCK KIT - This kit contains a fuse block including thefuses and is available for the 9 and 18 KW 460-volt heater kits. This kit satisfies the Chicago code requirements.

ROOF CURB - This 14" high full perimeter roof curb is shippedknocked down for field assembly. Its duct supports andinsulated condensing section deck can be reversed to connectthe ductwork on the opposite end.

LOW AMBIENT KIT - Head pressure controllers maintainstable operation by reducing the speed of the condenser fanmotors when the outdoor temperature is between 45 and 0°F.Condenser fan motors with ball bearings and heavier windingsare available for these low ambient applications.

ANTI-RECYCLE TIMER - A timer to prevent unit compressorsfrom short cycling. It assures a 5-minute “off-time” betweencompressor cycles.

PROPANE CONVERSION KIT - Converts a gas-fired heaterfrom natural gas to propane. It contains main burner orifices, apilot orifice and a gas valve.

GAS PIPING - This kit contains 3/4" pipe nipples, fittings andgas cock (including panel access gaskets) required for bottomgas supply connection with external shut-off.

HIGH ALTITUDE CONVERSION (NATURAL AND PROPANE)- Provides orifices for proper furnace operation at altitudes upto 6,000 ft. For propane applications, the propane conversionkit will also be required.

WALL THERMOSTAT - The units are designed to operate with24-volt electronic and electro-mechanical thermostats. Allelectric / electric and gas / electric units operate with two stageheat / two stage cool thermostats (with or without aneconomizer).
