Never say Never…..

Evaluate all donors as a potential lung donor

LifeSource has one local Transplant Center that currently transplants DCD lungs. (University of MN)

Use of MNUM CT coordinators to assist in lung donor management

Evaluating and working up lungs that would have been ruled out even 2-3 years ago

Outcomes

Transplanted 6 lungs from DCD donors in 2014, up from 2 in 2012 and 2013

All recipients doing well post transplant
