DC X W.1910 Separated in the past, Skateboarding & Custom have been brought together these past couple of years.What attracted lots of skate legends and early days renegades, is, today, a major fashion and urban trend. In the frame of its Streetwear collection, DC, as one of the most credible historical Skateboard company, links with W.1910, motorcycle inspired FrenchCompany, created by Melanie Clemencon. W.1910 is reputed for its Qualitative products, credibility and selective distribution. DC | W.1910 collaboration mixes motorbike vintage custom with modern day skateboarding.The idea was born from DC’s skateboard teams’ passion for motorbike custom.


W.1910, boutique apparel and motorcycle brand from Paris. Specializing in the craft of custom motorcycles and the creation of functional stylish bike apparel and accessories. The main philosophy of W.1910 is based on the reinvention of vintage motor apparel pieces using modern day styling, fabrications and detailing. Together the two brands have created the latest project for DC’s Double LabelTM series. SNOWBOARD SIMPLE SESSION

Simple Session 13 will take place March 16th & 17th 2013. It will be hosting more than 200 top athletes from 35 countries at Saku Arena in Tallinn, Estonia, including an impressive line-up of the most established riders in the business as well as new talents in the disciplines of BMX and skateboarding street/park. During the event 12 000 people will see the contest including more than 150 media representatives (photographers, filmers, journalists), top magazines (Transworld BMX, Abion, DIG…) and TV channels (Extreme channel and Eurosport 2).


SHRED DAYS

The 2013 edition of "DC Shred Days" will be held this season on the park DC Area 43 Meribel-Mottaret from April 3rd to 5th. During this session, you will have the oppotunity to see DC snowboard team riders as well as many other riders. The program includes incredible modules, barbecues and a giant skate ramp in the middle of the snowboard area. 3 days of good humor and friendliness allowing you to meet DC riders, test equipments, to enjoy rider demos on the park, snowboard/skate contests and official parties in the station.

FREESTYLE SESSION XANADU SNOWDÔME

Last week, DC Shoes organized in partnership with Electric and the Saint Lary ski resort a new event called «Freestyle Session» inside the Snowdome of the Xanadu big mall, just near Madrid. DC Spain and DC France organized together the event. The idea was to share all day long a session with locals riders, and at the same time a demo from the DC spanish & french snowboard team. The snowpark was set up by the Saint Lary resort shapers. .


We took the opportunity of this event to show the DC Live Park System to people. SKATEBOARD SEB SIMON & JULIEN BECHET EDIT

Seb Simon had visited his family for a personal trip in Reunion island in january during a month. Despite a violent hurricane, he finally realized a nice edit skating on unknow spots and DIY. Here is the link of the video. More than 6000 views today. The clip has been shared on Sugar.com.

Julien was off during couple of month because of an elbow injury. He is prooving us that he has totally recovered from his injury in this edit at the « skatepark de la Négresse», Biarritz. You can watch the video here.

Our brand new skatepark, is almost finished, as you can see on the picture. We will create an organisation to provide courses to the kids and to continue to develop the skateboard scene here.

Our main skatepark partner did the 8th edition of the winter contest. This is basically a classical game of skate contest, with 500 € of cash purse for the winners. Parisians locals skaters was there to competing together.

Local hero of La Plagne and seller at the DC store Hossegor, Romuald Janau is still having a blog that he has recently uptated with couple of impressive action shots in his

favourite snowpark. SNOWHOUSEONMELTYFrench general media targeting the young people, Melty is realizing a web serie called the «Snow house» for its website. Melty has followed the DC snowboarding team during a week in everyday life at the DC Area 43 and the chalet in Méribel. SNOW PARK SAINT LARY

Since the beginning of the winter, the snow park in Saint Lary has got a very good feedback from the riders. Shapers are doing a great job despite the amount of snow that the Pyrénées has received this winter. Here is an edit of some of the locals of the resort enjoying the variety of the modules.

The 14 year old snowboarder Simeon Mitrev received a DC BIG SPIN Wild Card to compete with the big boys.

DC BIG SPIN BOROVETS 2013 The DC BIG SPIN snowboarding competition took place on the 16th of February at the Borovets winter resort. The aim of the competition is to focus on fair judging of the riders’ abilities to do tricks with rotations, and the competition to be easy to follow by the spectators. The rules of the DC BIG SPIN competitions are simple, the tricks that count are tricks with horizontal rotations. Each competitor, to qualify for the finals, has to land two tricks of which he rotations add up to a total of 900 degrees rotations. If the landing is not clean the run does not count. Then for the finals every rider who has qualified gets two runs each, the rider with the highest total of rotations wins the 500 euro cash prize. There is an additional prize for ''The Most Stylish Rider'', a DC Torstein snowboard. The rider is selected by the Wildberries crew.

DC Lithuania welcome to skate team Lukas Garbachauskas and Emilis Morris. Both win Lithuania Simple Session qualification and go‘s to Estonia in March.
