The purpose of this newsletter is to keep you connected with DBA‘s
ongoing efforts to support and enhance the vibrancy of our city cen-
ter.
Our Mission: The mission of the Downtown Bloomington Association is to promote the revitalization and growth of Historic Downtown Bloomington through collaboration among property owners, private citizens, community and business leaders, town and government representatives and civic organizations.
Our Vision: The Downtown Bloomington Association envisions an active and vibrant downtown that preserves the historic character, enhances natural re-sources and encourages new and continuing opportunities for growth, economically, socially and culturally. The vision of DBA fosters pride and promotes a positive image of Downtown Bloomington. This vision sup-ports and attracts businesses and visitors thus enhancing the quality of life for all members of the community.

First Friday themes for 3rd quarter were: July: Summer in the City / Artistic Freedom August: Dog Days of Summer September: Back to School / Artist Trading Card release.
We also embraced the Pokemon craze that-brought lots of visitors to our downtown!
Downtown is a popular destination for special events, especially in the
summer. In addition to our monthly First Friday events, we worked with
community partners in the late summer months to
include the Sunrise Rotary Brats and Bags event, as well as the City of
Bloomington Criterium Bike Race.
DBA Public Art Program adds 3D Murals to downtown landscape.
With cooperation from City of Bloomington Public Works Department, the DBA
Public Art committee added the first of 9 power box murals. Artists featured were
left , Rose Tuttle, corner of Main and Washington; Danell Dvorak, corner of Wash-
ington and Center, and Mickey Lower, Main and Market.
