Jig / Lead Head Moulds. Spire Point Jig.
This is an all time fav ourite of mine. In the smaller sizes, rig it with a jelly worm and work it through the rocks. Of fshore, f ishing the 1.5oz up to the 4oz on a f ly ing collar rig, three feet of line and rig it with a 4” or 6” twin tail or mag grub. W ork it v ery close to the seabed on the approach and just after the wreck / reef and hold on TIGHT to y our rod. Cod do not giv e any warning, they simply swallow them swim away , with you attached !!!!!!!!!!!!!.
In v ery deep water, use the 8 or 12oz rigged with a twin tail or monster grub. In deep water strong current situations, it ’s got to be the 16oz or 20oz monsters.
NB. 3283.3284,3381,3382. All require a No. 3. wire loop in addition to each hook ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Round Head Jig. Heavy Hooks. Another popular jig with boat anglers f rom 1oz upwards. In 1, 1.5 and 2oz, rig with 4” or 6” twin tails and using a gilling with a three f oot hook length, make y our own ‘Hopping Rig’. Work close to the sea bead and pick up Cod af ter Cod. 4,5 and 6oz and fished direct to very light braid rigged with 6” twin tail or mag grubs in 12lb class tackle for terrif ic action with cod and Pollack.
The smallest sizes are popular with ultra light spinning enthusiasts either rigged with a smallsof t plastic or dressed with buck tail or sy nthetic materials to make tiny lures f or bass and Pollack f rom the rocks. Terrific sport. Try baiting with ragworm and working the jig back across a river estuary f or f lounder early in the y ear.

Either rig the chub jig with a small sof t plastic grub, worm or twin tail or dress it with buck tail or synthetic fly tying materials. Its namesake the Chub attack them with gusto. Pike, perch and zander will also happily engulf the litt le jig.

Banana Jig. The banana jig is a personal f avourite when fishing amongst rocks. Powder coated white and dressed with white buck tail with a f lash of orange, this lure has accounted f or signif icant numbers of bass along the south coast.

Bullet Nose Jig. This Jig is great f or use with thick soft plastics such as mag grubs in 5”,6” and 8”. It has been used with great success f or cod on the wrecks in the English Channel especially in larger sizes with the 8/0 hook. I have also had a great deal of success using this jig rigged with either a 6” twin tail or 6” mag grub f or pike in the summer in the marginal weeds.

The ultra minnow is a centre-balanced jig with f ull scale, gill plates and recessed eye, which will accept a 3D ey e (see accessories). We produce these and have them chrome plated. When the 3D ey e is f itted, these make stunning lures. For the artistic type, the look stunning when airbrush f inished. Can be rigged with soft plastic or dressed with buck tail or synthetic fly tying materials.

The weighted keel on this lure adds stability to this lure. The hook is attached via the wire f ormed clip at the end, easily produced with a pair of pliers. Rig with a jelly worm or grub f or added attraction. The blade (usually a French blade) creates v ibration to attract attention.
