Berkeley Real Estate Club (BREC) BREC Overview
• We are the oldest student club at Haas. Our members are drawn from five different UC Berkeley graduate programs: Haas, Berkeley Law, CED, Goldman and Engineering.
• Our mission is to maximize real estate learning opportunities for members and forge strong industry connections. Additionally, we strive to promote real estate as an industry to new and prospective students.
Key Activities BREC supports your career interests through the following activities:

• IGCRE: The Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate will give you explicit recognition of a specialization in real estate

About the Haas Consulting Club (HCC): The Haas Consulting Club is a student-led organization that serves as a key resource for Haas MBA students considering a career in consulting. The Haas Consulting Club’s mission is to equip full-time and part -time MBA students for success pursuing career opportunities in management consulting through high quality support in resource preparedness, networking and thought leadership. Relevant Courses: Most of the core-curriculum from your first year at Haas (i.e. Marketing, Finance and Strategy) will prepare you for consulting interviews, while experiential classes such as IBD and Haas@Work will help you practice real life consulting. Overview: Data Science Club is focused on events that educate full-time and evening/weekend MBAs about analytics and data science. We partner with other career clubs, likemarketing, tech and healthcare, to highlight the use of analytics in a variety of industries.

Haas FinTech Club Overview
● Founded in the fall of 2016, Haas FinTech Club is the fastest-growing club on campus and now includes more than 260 members across full-time and evening weekend MBA programs.
● Our vision is to promote and support the next generation of FinTech business leaders in the Bay Area. Additionally, we strive to develop Haas’ brand in FinTech.
● We also embrace the broad applications and interdisciplinary nature of FinTech through partnerships and diverse programming.
● Socially beneficial FinTech is of particular interest, and we have a dedicated “VP of Impact” role to lead social impact programming.

Food@Haas Club Overview
A club for those interested in careers in the food industry as well as those who just love food, Food@Haas is one of the largest, most encompassing clubs on campus. We offer professional, academic, and social opportunities around Food.

Haas Healthcare Association (HHA)
Overview The Haas Healthcare Association is a student-run organization that brings together UC Berkeley students of all backgrounds with a shared goal to build a more connected and impactful healthcare ecosystem. Our vision is to make UC-Berkeley the premier healthcare talent pipeline by empowering the student community to tackle the world’s most difficult health problems. • Healthcare in the 21st Century: Surveys the modern healthcare system in the U.S. examining the roles of major stakeholders including Payers, Providers, Medical Device and Pharmaceutical companies.
• Healthcare Finance: Covers strategic financial management in the healthcare industry, including providers, payers and life science firms. Cases are used to apply the financial analysis and planning skills learned in the course.
• Innovations in Healthcare: Provides insights into innovations in healthcare service delivery, information technology, and medical devices. Through presentations by leading entrepreneurs, students will be challenged to make investment decisions in firms with the greatest promise and to develop an investment philosophy that supports their commitments to specific companies.

• Health Economics and Policy: Equips students with
the tools and information needed to improve health care delivery since creating the necessary new products, strategies and policies requires a nuanced understanding of the complexity of incentives, regulations and context that define health care in the U.S.
• Biotech and Pharma: Provides an overview of the biotech industry, including challenges, opportunities, and trends in the industry. Students will be able to tackle a real-world challenge faced by a major pharmaceutical company centered around drug pricing and drug access strategy and have their proposals evaluated by company representatives.
• Life Science Marketing: Life science marketers face a unique challenge due to the need to appeal to a broad range of stakeholders. This course provides an overview of the leading and emerging practices in life sciences marketing, strengthens students’ ability to identify unmet customer needs and translate those into actionable insights for brand strategy, and provides experience utilizing foundational marketing methods.
• Unlocking Digital Innovation in Healthcare: In partnership with Omada Health, explores the drivers behind the surge of innovation in digital and connected health, enumerate the main value propositions being targeted for “disruption” and consider how different stakeholders are engaging (or not) with digital health solutions. Students will review issues central to digital health companies including user experience design, evidence-based results and scaling.

Haas Tech Club Overview
● HTC is one of the largest and most active associations at Haas and acts as a gateway for students
to the ever-evolving tech field ● Our goal is to provide members and alumni the network, access, knowledge, and practical
experience to advance careers across the technology industry Highlight of Key Activities
● Tech Summit: HTC’s flagship 1-day event early in the fall designed to provide students with an in-
depth look into careers in technology, the different sectors and roles, overview of the recruiting process, as well as recent trends and networking opportunities with the sponsoring companies.
● Haas Tech Challenge (November): 2-day case competition hosted by Haas in which MBA teams from top business programs tackle real world problems faced by a sponsoring company (the theme of 2018 was "Big Data and the City of Tomorrow", sponsored by Amazon)
● Career treks at top-recruiting companies: Organized throughout the school year and include both big tech and small-to-mid-sized companies (e.g. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Airbnb, Slack)
● Speaker Series: industry speakers come on campus once a week to talk about a breadth of topics in technology and to network with students afterwards in a happy-hour setting

IDEC Overview
• Our aim is to connect the Berkeley-Haas community with leading practitioners, researchers and
specialists in international development and international business to understand current practices
and explore future career opportunities. • We look to explore a variety of issues from bottom-of-the-pyramid oriented organizations to the role
of multinationals operating in emerging markets.

and climate change and environmental damage. • Social Impact Metrics: Colin Boyle. Through a unique partnership with Amgen/Onyx, several
nonprofit organizations working in the cancer field will receive grants of $25,000 to work with student
groups to implement improvements in their metrics systems recommended by project teams formed in the class.
• Global Leadership: Ernest Gundling. Most major decisions that current and future leaders make now have global ramifications, whether the focus is future growth strategies, marketing, supply chain,
R&D, mergers & acquisitions, innovation, finance, or human resources. Students will gain practical global leadership knowledge and skills.

Private Equity Club Haas PE Club Overview The PE Club brings together MBA students with an interest in private markets investing, from growth equity to LBOs, and traditional industry focus to impact. We are committed to be a resource for club members for career and educational matters by providing a platform to meet and network with fellow Full-time and Evening and Weekend MBAs interested in PE, Haas alumni currently working in the Private Equity space, and leading industry professionals in the Bay Area and beyond.
